If you fly in then I'd lean towards Ryans recommendation of something around Maryville/alcoa, but I'd think it could be a bit longer than 20 minutes. There's a courtyard there.
If you're driving in from the north east, I'd get something around Sevierville or the north side of pigeon forge closer to sevierville. That'll put you closer to 321 and is before the area where traffic tends to back up the worst.
Closest place is probably Townsend, but all I see is a best western and eh...... But it's an option.

Ok guy lil over a month out for the HERF, Look at 2nd post for item we need to bring....
At last count there is 2 beds open and 3 sofa's , unless u want to share with @bostoneo or @manbearpig (2 real cuddly guys)....
As I have said before @jwintosh and myself will be in Knoxville on Wed afternoon the 25th , if anyone wants to pre-herf at Silo cigar shop ...........
