  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

How's your day going?

Yuck, serious work. I'm curious was the house flooded before you bought it?
lol no

it used to be the community center for the neighborhood built in the 70s.

in the 90s it was converted into a home (just over 3k sq ft). so it's a unique building and property in a normal neighborhood. No HOAs or anything.

I'm not sure the carpet they put in had been replaced since then (and it was in all rooms including bathrooms - minus the kitchen)

I was wondering because it looked like all of the drywall had been replaced about 3 feet up which usually indicates that there was water.
nope thats just the scum line from where they had wood paneling around the room! first thing I did was pull it down :D

then patched the bad drywall spots, rebuilt the stairs (they were over 7ft wide and curved) did the floors, still need to pull a done of panel nails and do some simple patching. and then paint ... can't wait for that bit ...

About 50/50

I told someone, "you'ld probably have more fun fucking with a cactus dildo than fucking with me today." But, the boss didn't blink an eye.

Woke up to the news that the company I work for is probably going to file for bankruptcy in the next four to six weeks.

I'm starting on my resume this afternoon.
Good luck going forward, Mike.

My school is closing permanently on June 5th. Looks like I'm retiring from my 8 year retirement job.

installed a saltwater generator for my pool today. I've been travelling a bunch and can't keep up with chlorine. This will help

I'll likely be having the whole pool renovated later this year. so for now the electrical from the timer box to the SWG controls stays as is (even if it hurts my soul). if we decline to do the renovation - I'll sort it out this fall
