  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

How's your day going?

Sorry to hear that man hopefully you can get back to work soon. I’m not sure what field you’re in but I know in mine the job market is rough right now.

I think I'll be able to land the one I'm interviewing for on Monday. I probably won't know for a couple of weeks though.

I've been keeping an eye on the job market for a couple of months. It definitely isn't the same as last year. A lot of companies increased outsourcing to contract companies. That is really hurting the wages and benefits. But, I'm not too worried about it. I'll grab something and keep looking.

Wife got wound up about the neighbors seeing everything we do while sitting out back. Up to Home Depot and 1 day later. Not bad for the old skinny guy I think. Married Italian and learned quite a bit.

Nice fence and not that it's any of my business but what are you doing back there?:smuggrin:

Yeah, I found out today. It didn't go so well.

The minute I walked in one of the guys asked, "You worked at __" and then "so, you knew ___." It was one of a couple of people that didn't like me. We just never saw eye to eye on anything at anytime. He was a decent enough dude we just never mixed and I know what he would say about me. It was a very aggressive and at times confrontational interview. I was ready to bail before it ended.

Oh well, shit happens.

Got the wife and kid moved down to Mississippi from NY over the weekend. Its about an 18 hour drive. Did it over three days (when I came down myself originally with the trailer I did it in a day and a half). Spent Mon/Tues just relaxing (on PTO).

Back to work today. Both the paying job and the renovations on the new house.
