I've been trying some martini variations.

My wife likes the Appletini and a Chocolate-Raspberry Martini.

So far I've tried a Dry Martini and Dirty Martini and like those.

I'm making a 10 Minute Martini at the moment.

Has anyone tried a Burnt Martini? I'm afraid to try one.

Bombay Sapphire Gin with just a splash of vermouth and an olive.

I hate Martini glasses, as the wide mouth is different from a regular cocktail glass. I always forget and end up tilting the glass when it is too far from my damn lips and usually end up wearing about a quarter of my first martini.

:(

here is a little twist on a newer concoction.. as a bartender i am always trying new things...

key lime martini.. (now i am not saying that i invented this drink. but i DO make it different from everyone else i know)

Vanilla Vodka

lime juice

pineapple juice..

shake the shit out of it.. then shake it some more, then maybe some more..

the idea is to get a frothy almost foamy top to the mixture.. pour it slowly into a chilled martini glass.. watch the froth rise to the top, and the green sink to the bottom.. it looks just like a piece of key lime pie, and tastes like one too.

Yeah I had to give on the website for awhile. I'm just not smoking as much anymore.

I'm using Martini Vermouth and Gilbery's Gin.

I need some more olives.

Now, here's my recipe for a gin martini:

1 - I keep my Bombay in the freezer - it get's less diluted that way.
2 - I pour 4 parts gin in a shaker, with ice and shake it for a few seconds, not long.
3 - Pour this into a martini glass (or lately, a margarita glass, they are larger)
4 - Take one part vermouth (kept in the 'frig) and gently stir it in. This will layer the vermouth though out the drink.

Some people put the vermouth in with the gin and shake it all together. This causes a molecular breakdown and will totally change the drink, taste and experience.

Add 2 large olives stuffed with Blue Cheese crumbles and you are set!

Since I mentioned it, I'll be having some tonite.
