here is a little twist on a newer concoction.. as a bartender i am always trying new things...

key lime martini.. (now i am not saying that i invented this drink. but i DO make it different from everyone else i know)

Vanilla Vodka

lime juice

pineapple juice..

shake the shit out of it.. then shake it some more, then maybe some more..

the idea is to get a frothy almost foamy top to the mixture.. pour it slowly into a chilled martini glass.. watch the froth rise to the top, and the green sink to the bottom.. it looks just like a piece of key lime pie, and tastes like one too.

not so much a martini man...but DAMN that sounds good!

But, James Bond has his shaken, not stirred :eyepoke:
Except for "You Only Live Twice" in which he orders it "Stirred, not shaken."

And, for the record, I'll take any damned martini made of just about anything as long as it isn't fruity or killed with vermouth. Keep mine ice cold and with either lemon peel or olives, brotha!! :starrylov

Never been a Martini drinker, but my BIL bought me a pineapple Martini in the clubhouse after we both had a decent round of golf early last year. It was pretty good.

this is what I'll be drinking as soon as I get home:

vodka martini

chilled martini glass (put them in the freezer this morning)
blue cheese stuffed olive
jalapeño stuffed olive
cocktail onion
shustoff vodka
martini & rossi extra dry vermouth

gin martini
hendrick's gin
same ingredients as listed above

I make them pretty much the standard way, only that I use a vermouth spritzer to coat the martini glass instead of swirling it around and dumping the excess.
