I'd like to know more myself. So school a noob. Is a 30 dollar Meer going to be worthwhile? Should I drop 3 times that and have am excellent pipe? Are there grades of meerschaum or what?
What are you thinking?I will sponsor a category. I will be smoking my Baki all month. Picture soon
I've been watching their ebay store for a while! Some nice pieces. They all start to look the same. But the below site has some novel ones and a great collection that is well photographed:

I would think that that one would color well .
Here's the one I've been lusting over the past few months. It might be time!
Should we have separate categories for new and restored?I will sponsor best color from start to finish of the month
what is your definition of restoredShould we have separate categories for new and restored?
Will they color differently?
No clue! I thought I've seen people clean them up back to white... but I've never even touched a meer so I have no clue!what is your definition of restored
There are lots of meer lore around. Supposedly aros color better but I've found heavy nicotine does well. From what I have read the wax on the outside of the pipe draws the oils from the inside out to color the pipe.
