  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I have a question. Why not just make all the interior out of mahogany? It has similar properties to cedar but minus the price am I right? Considering you're storing mostly in cedar boxes or cedar lined boxes it makes sense to me. Then you'd only have to craft a singles drawer out of cedar really.

Just me thinking out loud if I were to ever for go this type of project. I'm most likely just going to buy in a few years though.

Getting close. Had a woodcrafter visit me this morning. He has decided to help me and make my doors. Said it was a little out of square, but he can compinsate for that when he makes them. Great guy, makes a lot of custom clocks and furniture. Said they'll be done in a week and will be stained, varnished, hinged and ready to rock. $200 out the door. Looks like we'll be moving into the new humi by Thanksgiving. I am so frikin excited.

So, for that reason, I will be having another sale later this weekend to pick up some $$ to cover them. So keep an eye peeled.

You would think you knew what you were doing. Looks great.
Bro, you have no idea. I had no clue what I was doing. Once I cut the Red Oak ($330), I was comitted. And it was a bitch. But I'm almost there. All that I have will look like nothing when I convert.

Thanks gents for the atta boys.

Looks amazing brother.
One day I hope to have something like that. I keep eyeballing the aristocrats as I have no wood working skills and would mangle anything I tried to do.
