Good to hear you found a good blade. It makes a difference IMO. The general consensus is that Merker makes better razors than blades.

My last shave was so good I had to do another one very similiar

Pre: Hot shower
Pre: Proraso pre shave
Cream: Tabac (didn't fint out until the other day. But I guess it containes tallow, which is a good thing IMO.)
Brush: Semogue 2012 owners club Special edition badger/boar mix
Razor: Lord L6
Blade: Astra superior platinum
Post: Dickensons witch hazel with menthol crystals added to make it extra cool.
Aftershave: Skin Bracer by Mennen
Lotion: Everyman Jack signature mint
Cologne: Burburry Brit (great winter time scent)

First shave after a successful NovemBEARD!
(*wife cheers in the background*)

Prep: Hot Shower
Pre: Proraso Pre Menthol Eucalyptus
Brush: Merkur Silvertip Badger
Cream: Proraso Soap Menthol Eucalyptus
Razor: Merkur Vision
Blade: Gillette Blue
Post: Cold water & alum block
Aftershave: Armani Code Balm

Back for my first shave in a month and it feels SO great! I tried one of the Gillette Blues I got from Seamus and was thoroughly impressed! This was only the second type of blade I've tried, just used the Merkur blades that came with my kit up 'til this point. I'm definitely a fan and for my face would choose the Gillette over the Merkur at this point. Just seemed to cut with less effort.
I only have experience with 3 blades so far but the Gilettes are surely my favorite.
Yeah, Gillette Blue and Gillette 7 O'clock have become my favorite. 5-8 days and still a good shave.

I didn't want to get up early this morning to shave. But after the alarm went off again I decided to get moving.

Getting a great shave is a good way for me to start the day!!

Decided to do an eperiment this morning. Used the least expensive of all my shave gear to see how my shave would tunr out. I had a good feeling, as I'm really getting my technique down now.

Prep: Hot Shower
Pre: Proraso Pre Shave
Cream: Kiss my face patchouli
Brush: Omega 10005
Razor: Lord L6
Blade: Astra Superiot Platinum
Post: Dickensons witch hazel with menthol crystals added
Aftershave: Aqua Velva original ice blue
Lotion: Everyman Jack Signature mint
Cologne: Malizia Uomo Vetyver

Ended up with a damm fine shave this morning.

Sounds like you started the morning off with a good shave K Williams

I'm a big fan of Stirling soaps as well. I use the acne vegan as a face wash and have used the outmeal shea butter, mint chocolate chip, and ocean breaze. ( I think that was what it was called anyway) They all have lathered really will and left my skin well moisturized. I highly recomend them.

I also like their shave soap. One of the best for the $$ IMO.

Getting ready to place another order with them. Besides the soaps I'm going to try some of their witch hazel and aloe aftershave spash as well.
