BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Ok... it looks like all of the staple items are covered.. if anyone chooses to bring anything else... awesome.. but... it dont think anything else is necessary... we should be good to go...

link above is a map to the smoky mountain national park.. you can see the Cosby Picnic area is on the northeast side of the park.. right off HWY 321.. if you can get to 321, you really cant miss it.. just drive until you see signs...... getting to 321 can be a PIA though depending on where you try to access it from...

Your GPS might do better than mine... I was using the Waze app on my iphone... she ultimately got me there.. just made me drive an extra half hour through "deliverance" territory to get there...

I know LPF is staying at a hotel near the airport.. not sure where KK, Skully or Brad are staying (or anyone else)... but it sounds like we need to get together for dinner, hit one of the decent B&M's in town, and have a pre-herf to me....
Ill talk to my lounge today and see if they might consider opening it up to a couple of non member guests on Friday night.. they normally let me bring 1 person in no questions asked.. If I can get a headcount on how many people would like to link up Friday night, I'll see what I can do to get us all inside there...
If that doesnt work, old city cigar downtown has a decent selection.. and the restaurant across the street has a decent menu and an outside seating option where smoking is allowed (several cigar smokers there).. assuming the weather is nice.. this might be the better option anyway...

Well damn I was hoping to live through the forum for this one! Guess I'll have to wait just a bit longer.the bad...
no electrical hook ups at all... dont plan on bringing anything that requires power.. if it doesnt run on a battery.. you arent going to run it..... no cell phone service.. I have verizon and my wife has at&t.. neither of us had a signal at all.. and it is DIFFICULT to get to.... do not trust your GPS.. mine got us close.. but took us some crazy back way in that added 25 miles to the trip.. and through 10 miles of rusted out mid 1970's single wide trailer homes, and cow pastures (nothing at all around).... make sure you map out the location, etc.. in addition to having your GPS locked in.. cause.. if you get lost.. its not like youre going to be able to call anyone... our phones wont be working
ok... lets start a list of who is coming in on Friday and where youre going to be... and we can plan from there...

Okay guys, as of right now it's not looking good for me. Long story short we had another budget cut at my job. All the overtime I signed up for to pay for the trip was canceled. I will let you know if something happens though.
