My clubs latest private barrel club picks came in - George Remus Single Barrel and a Four Roses Single Barrel. The Four Roses is a 10 year 2 month OESF recipe.

Also grabbed a bottle of Widow Jane Lucky Thirteen.

I cracked it last night after having a few beers and a pour of the Remus. I’ll have to pay more attention to it next time, but my initial thoughts were that it had a nice hit of vanilla but didn’t really stand up well following the high proof Remus. I’m looking forward to giving it another shot on its own as opposed to after a high proofer.

First time trying the Ketel believe it or not. So far my everyday 1.75L Vodka journey consists of Wheatley, Prairie, Stoli, Chopin, Tito’s. I wonder which is next. I started off drinking it in my own recipe Vodka soda, now I’m enjoying it served neat in my Tin Cup.

I was a vodka guy many years ago, mostly just Stoli. I was introduced to a higher end vodka, Jean Marc XO, and it quickly became my favorite. Worth a try if yo can find it.

Thanks Tom, I’ll keep an eye out. I’m running out of tasty 1.75L brands. Next up is Grey Goose. So i May be forced into the 750ml category soon
