BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
The first shave!

Took the plunge this morning. Was tough, as I skipped shaving the day before yesterday. The second shave after skipping a day is the hardest for me. So the DE had its work cut out for it. The only thing I changed from my previous shaves with a Gillette Mach 3 was the razor.
Shave after a hot shower
Brush - Target Shea Moisture badger
Pre-Shave - Art of Shaving Lavender oil
Cream - Art of Shaving Lavender cream
Razor body - Merkur 34C
Blade - unknown, installed by Art of Shaving - probably Gillette
Post-Shave - nothing
OK, so it wasn't as smooth as I am used to. I went slow, had no nicks, but was too nervous to really go at it against the grain. I did realize that with a DE I'm going to need something post-shave. So today, I ended up with a new soap Van Der Hagen Luxury, a bowl from Crate and Barrel, and after-shave balms from both Kiehl's and Nivea. Oh yeah, and an early-morning order to West Coast for another soap (Harris Arlington), a shave stand, and a sampler blade pack. Lord help me.
