I've only had two bottles myself...both being Dows. I believe one was a 10 year old and the other was an LBV from 2000.

For a first timer - go with any of the LBV (Late Bottle Vintage) ports. Dow, Fonseca, Taylor, Warres are all good and generally around $15 a bottle.

Next time you take a client out to dinner on expense account at a top flight resturant, ask about their aged ports. Its a great way to get started. The ten years olds are good but like anything else, age makes them better.:stretchgr

Any Dow or Fonseca in the 1960's is going to light your board.
