Kent's shop is one of those Secondaries....

Those are the shops that got 50 last year, I talked to the owner of the shop I worked at last year, he is a secondary, he is waiting for a call-back from Andy to find out how many he will get.

If you look on the list, you will see that the store near your house is getting an allocation. I know you buy from them sometimes. There are a few retailers not too far from you that are getting some boxes....I am sure you will find them when they get to the stores the week of Halloween.....

If you look on the list, you will see that the store near your house is getting an allocation. I know you buy from them sometimes. There are a few retailers not too far from you that are getting some boxes....I am sure you will find them when they get to the stores the week of Halloween.....

The problem some are having with this release is that far less than half of the boxes are actually "in the wild," I'd guess no more than the Frank release, if even that.

See, 1/3 of the "13" are not selling to the open public (local-only, day-of, or contest). Most of the 2ndary shops are not either, and none of the small local shops I've called are taking orders for boxes. Places are either putting the Drac and Boris in samplers (Tampa Humidor) so you have to buy a ton of things to get only 1 stick, or they are simply selling sticks limit-1-per-person in-shop only.

Many locals took box-orders last year, but this year the hype has finally caught-up and they know it's better for them to get someone in-house to buy a limit-1 stick. I totally understand a small shop doing it this way, it makes the most sense ... the problem is that if nearly 1/2 of the total release or some such is going out in said manner. That makes it frustrating for those who would gladly pony up the cash for a full box, but can't find one.

I don't want to hear any bitching, I love in a city of 2.5+ million people, and the closest shop that will get any is Big Easy 300+ miles away, now I have been to the shop before, but I am not going to drive 5 hours just to find out they are gone. Looks like I will be smoking a lot of Opus in the near future. Don't get me wrong I am not mad at Pete, I understand it is business, and the hype, rush, and limited hard to find product helps sales, but when it all said and done it's just a cigar.
