  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I drink the port finish when I want an easy proof to sip. I also use it for cooking so it doesn't sit around not doing something. A BIB with no finish sounds interesting
The sample was great, Jim, I'll let you know how my bottle drinks when I open it. Even the regular Eagle Rare is too sweet for my palate....the AE port finish is just diabeetus.

The old forester may indeed be the best new to me bottle. After last night I’m gonna have some more of it. Really really liked it. Something about opening a bottle changes it I’ve heard of neck pours before but never paid any attention. It’s pretty damn interesting. image.jpgAnd yes my bag of groceries fell over into the floor

I was gifted a bottle of single barrel Old Scout 13 year over the weekend. My friend told me he has been sitting on a couple cases for over 10 years.

At 89.94 proof, it is super light for my palate. If I wanted to drink that light, I'd reach for Elmer T. Lee or Hancock Reserve.....but I generally don't want to drink that light.

I've been wanting to get another bottle of the Blue Run Trifecta blend, but at a tick under $200 at MSRP with taxes, I couldn't pull the trigger at Binny's. Local guy offered one under $100, so I grabbed it.

Celebrated with some Old Carter American 15.
