  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I don't know what it was but it was pretty good. I had an unbanded PC of unknown origin that's been floating around my humi for a while. It was definitely Cuban but other than that I don't know. It beat the hell out of the NC that I smoked a third of last night.

I'm baaack! Smoked a 98 HdM Corona on the way into work this morning. It was quite the pleasure after eight days without a cigar. Great flavor and very smooth. The only complaint I had was that it seemed like at some point in it's life it may have been stored in dry conditions. The ash was very flaky and seemed like a little potential was lost.

Overall it was good and it is great to be back!

So what are you guys smoking today?

RAG from an OSU DIC 01 box that I've got sitting around. Still a bit overpowering if you ask me, but very enjoyable nonetheless. I just had to shower & brush my teeth before I crashed otherwise it may have been a cigar that got the best of me! Anyone care to call me Todd because 4 y/o smokes are too powerful?! hahaha!!

Yup, they still have some ooooopmh.

For me it was a toss up between the RAG and a RyJ Churchill fro 98. I was sitting outside by the Hudson River and after consulting with a brother went with the RAG figuring the subtle flavors of the churchill might go unnoticed plus would not get to whiff the smoke. The RAG would keep me warm... plus just had dinner and was on a full belly.

Man, I have yet to try a Davidoff but I have had one RE back in like Novemeber, I think. It was very good then. I have one left from the fiver, gave the other three away, and I can hardly wait to try it. I may actually make it my next big smoke...maybe at Mark's herf. :dunno:

a davidoff #2... MRNs take is dead on.
will try to have a trini robo extra to make up for it tonight.
Completely agree as well. The ones I've had have tasted strictly of ceder and oxygen; no joke. Not worth $ 0.40 let alone $40.00

It's a shame, but this one vitola has almost completely turned me off from the entire marca. It would be nice to try one that wasn't a waste, to develop some sort of opinion about what they could have been.

02 CoRo for me. Bug damaged but after a trip through the freezer and some time (segregated) in the humi, and it wasn't bad at all. Ugly as sin, but still tastey.

I revisited a Party Short from a box from early '04. Earlier this year they were hit and miss in the harsh dept. Today proved that even a tiny bit of rest these become very smooth and creamy. Very enjoyable. Had me a few glasses of Rhum Barbancourt neat with this lil bastard.

As a side note, I just love having a little buzzz during the weeknights. Sleep is very pleasant.

I fired up a 2001 JL #1 on the way in today.

It was very underfilled I think...very very easy draw and didn't burn very good.

It still tasted good though.
