  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Very, very glad to hear it Todd.

This has turned into a pretty nice cigar weekend for me. Had my plans change yesterday and got to go golfing with some friends ands moked another PLPC (Thanks CigarHead) and a PSD4. Unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy either nearly as much as I should as both were troubled by the VERY breezy weather.

Tonight, unlike most Sunday nights (no Poker game tonight for some reason), I'm sitting in the Florida Room smoking a wonderful HDM EPI #1 from 02 courtesy of Ashy. Thanks Larry! It's a wonderful cigar!

It'd be cool if those were readily available intact (PLPC).
Get to know a brother out of the country and our favorite Unbander will send box & bands to anywhere else for a small charge. your friend can then send you the original packaging. Just an insiders tip...

Sorry, I really don't know. It was a gift from Buckwheat...so....paging Buckwheat I guess....
Knowing Julian's methods I would guess this was an old one. Plus, I agree on the new PLPCs, they are, and have been, for all I've smoked except one, flat and practically tasteless. (wow, what a run-on)
The pre-02 PLPCs I've had taste like I was pouring carmel syrup down my gullet!

Alright all you lazy Habano addicts :smokingme Damn it's 6:20 Central time here and this hasn't been posted yet :dunno: :angerFU:

lol

Down to business...Just got in from enjoying a very nice Feb. '05 RASS that Moglman gifted me. I would go out and by a box just by smoking this one stick. I haven't sampled RASS enough to know the characteristics, but it was gooda! I might go with a lighter color wrapper because I think that hampered the burn a tid-bit. All in all it was a great cigar and greatly appreciated

For me it was an '04 Monte 4. This cigar has developed quite nicely over the past 6-8 months. Very enjoyable. Smoked it alongside 4 glasses of Rhum Barbancourt 8 yr wit a splash of O.J.

How is that place?
A good place. Bit of an old boys club feel to it. Comfortable seating, reasonable scotch list. UES prices.

Club Mac website

Not my usual hangout (Hudson Bar & Books or Florio's) but I meet some of my uptown friends there on Mondays. It might sound silly to folks out side the city but it's a significant effort on my part to travel ALL THE WAY to the Upper East Side from the village. Passports are, in fact, not required.

No extra charge for sitting at the bar. Sitting at a table has a $20 min. of whice $10 must be spent on their cigars. Reasonably priced n/c of course. Not too much more than a B&M. A buddy is a member so that's allwaived off.

Some pics of diner at Gustavino's and smokes at Club Mac are here
