Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
Sounds like Mead would be right up your alleySometimes, I have a sweet tooth that will not be ignored. Riesling Ice Wine from Bear Creek Winery in Homer, Alaska.

Oddly enough, I haven't yet had a mead that I've been crazy about. My favorite sweet treats are botrytized wines like Beerenauslese, Trockenbeerenauslese, Sauternes, and certain others such as the Botrytis Viognier from Yalumba.Sounds like Mead would be right up your alley
you mind telling me which ones you have tried?Oddly enough, I haven't yet had a mead that I've been crazy about. My favorite sweet treats are botrytized wines like Beerenauslese, Trockenbeerenauslese, Sauternes, and certain others such as the Botrytis Viognier from Yalumba.
I've forgotten far more than I can remember but a couple were from Chateau Rieussec, Chateau Miselle, and Chateau Belingard, IIRC. Nothing too high on the shelf but enjoyable all the same. I've forgotten most of the labels I had in Germany (except Weingut am Rosenberg and perhaps one or two others) but in the US, I think I've had both the BA and TBA from Dr. Loosen; I think the Berkasteler Doctor BA; and maybe even one or both from Schmitt Söhne.you mind telling me which ones you have tried?

Derp! I remember even less about those...a couple/three locals, one or two at tastings, the odd bottled offering at a friend's place, etc. I think a tasting room or two in Leavenworth, WA offer them. I'll make a point of trying them.I meant which meads![]()
