  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Because superior tobacco is only available in limited quantities. The only sensible reason (besides creating hype and profit) to make limited runs is when the tobacco quality warrants it.

does not look like it will fit in the humi...gunna have to get a bigger one;) very cool! I must have it!!!
Most likely these will be sold in small lots due to the limited run, allocation per retailer, and fairness of getting sticks to as many customers as possible.

But I agree...I'd love to get a box if only it were possibe!

Let us all not forget that the companies that lost respect (RP, Padilla, Gurkha...) with the zillion lines and tons of "special" releases are all in bed with CI or other huge distributors. I don't say retailers because they've taken on walmart type status in the cigar world and you all know what that means.

I don't mind LEs because I suspect many of them are extremely small quantities of tobacco they were able to source. So that's all the cigars they get to make. There's no reason for someone to track down each and every cigar released. That's pure craziness, there will always be a new one.

I've started to follow the attitude that if I see them in a store I physically visit then I'll pick a special stick up. That or I'll trade for it with one of the brothers on here. No reason to hunt it down like there's a bounty on them.

I need to hear this, probably daily for a little while before it sinks in.

And what's wrong with Padilla? I still like them, then again, I haven't bought anything from them lately except for the Dominus.

Guys one thing is to do a limited cigar because of the tobacco, like Pete and his monster series.

Its another thing to be constatly bringing out a limited cigar, one after the other. This to me is a gimick. Especially when the cigar has a 1.5" shaggy foot.

Dont get me wrong I have nothing against Viaje. I love their Oro and Platinos, its just that it seems that every time I turn around there is a new limited cigar they are coming out with. Save some of that tobacco for the Oro's and Platinos.
