We did Mother’s Day a day early, since our daughter is performing in a dance recital tomorrow. I grilled filet mignon and lobster tails. Didn’t get too many pics of the cooking, as it was quite a balancing act.
My father-in-law made twice-baked potatoes, veggies, and hollandaise sauce. Everything was excellent. Happy early Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there!
Smoked tri-tip. First time doing one, and I was pleased. Smoked at 225-250 for about an hour. I used a bit too much pepper in the rub, so I’ll cut that back next time. Meat was still delicious, just the crust had a bit more of a spicy kick than I wanted.
