I smoke outside 99% of the time and I use a zippo with the torch insert. The zippo was a bday present from my wife many years ago that she had engraved and I felt bad about not using it.

Always in my pocket is my Xikar Trezo. Absolutely love it, but can definitely be overkill if not used carefully.

I have several single torch from DuPont Wolfman to cheapos that I like too. Got a no-name soft flame from an ex girlfriend a few years back, it was fun, but when it stopped working, I lost interest. (The soft-flame lighter, not the ex. I think?)

I'll still leave the torches in my pocket from time to time when I'm indoors and go with the old school matches and cedar strip from time to time just for fun though.

When golfing in the windy afternoon the torch is essential. Anywhere else I use a match when possible. Most decent places have them at the front desk in case I forget my own

I use a torch (single flame) and a soft flame.

Torches
- ST Dupont Maxijet (favorite. Made me a believer in just a single jet)
- pocket-sized, pistol-shaped single flame
- Cain Daytona table lighter (this is for group smokes or really windy days)

Soft flame
- IM Corona Double Corona (sweet lighter. Love it)
- Brushed stainless zippo with a thunderbird soft flame insert

I usually toast the foot with the torch and then, weather permitting, hold the soft flame a half inch or so away from the foot and puff slowly until evenly lit

I usually toast the foot with a torch and then draw/light with my soft flame. I like making things difficult and carrying more things than I need.

What memories?! I'm pretty sure you weren't even born before Contra came out!

Did they make one for N64 that I don't know about?
