Just watched rise of planet of the apes. Was dawn of planet of the apes just as slow paced? I'm hoping it was just character building, and the new ones will pick up...Gravity (awful)
The Purge (also awful)

Saw Gravity a few weeks ago, not bad but did not live up to the hype
Saw Rise of Apes last Monday, not a bad movie. I was a little slow but MUCH better then the restart from 10 years ago. The only character they build upon for the next movie is Caesar himself.
Saw Dawn of Apes Friday night, liked it even better then Rise, although it wasted time on some superficial stuff that could have gotten it's meaning across in a different way quicker, like the dam part of the story (don't want to say too much and give away spoilers).
Was going to see The Purge tomorrow afternoon, disappointed you're saying it's not so good. 😞
