1. Fishing (Generally, I enjoy small mouth and trout, spin fishing, mostly whatever comes out of the rivers and streams at a given time of the year, just started to explore fly flishing this year.)
2. Cigars
3. RC Aircraft (Newer hobby since this last spring, spawns off of a long time hobby of flight simulator, currently flying a HobbyZone Champ.)
4. Beer (Drink most of it, rarely review it, if it is good I drink it.)
5. Wine (Drink most of it, rarely review it, once more if it is good I drink it.)
6. Hunting (I grew up with it, and choose not to kill anymore, basically hunt with the camera.)

I used to have a lot of hobbies:
Texas Hold 'Em
Pool
Darts
Reading (mostly non fiction)
Movies
Video games
Hunting
Hiking
Fishing
Etc...

Now, as my kids are getting older, I usually just go to work to relax.

Right now, it has been baby, work baby work, with a bit of sleep in between.

For my regular pastimes I do the following:

Body board the shore break in Laguna and Dana Point.

Teaching my daughter to stand up surf at Doheney State beach. 8yr old girl paddles an 8 foot board out thru the small surf 75 yards over and over. This one is tough for me, because I am a body boarder and not really built for stand up. But I’m learning.

I downhill skateboard, on a VERY fast VERY stable board. Have been to 50+, won’t do it again. I really like the 25-35 MPH range.

Golf, but time and finances have limited that one recently

Recently into Airguns. Not Red Ryder BB guns, but legit air rifles. Only have 2 as these are not as easy to sneak into the humidor as cigar are. A beer can does not stand a chance at less than 100 yards. Plus I can shoot them in my backyard, as they are very quiet. 5 shot groups at 20 yard the size of a quarter. Trying to work down to dime sized groups. The guns are capable, the pellets are lacking as am I. I’ve been baiting the rats from the field with peanut butter and have been doing some backyard hunting…hillbilly at heart.

Other than that, I pretty much live cigars and kids

So can you make me a vase....like this one?

oh yeah...one more hobby
In theory - that was made with a COE (coefficient of expansion) that is last on my list of skills as it works best with a torch I don't own. I make small stuff at home and large stuff in the shop - the in between stuff like this is my gap unless I borrow fire :)

Hobbies...

Cigars, duh
Paintball
Mountain Biking & Cycling
Watching and loving all kinds of sports
Wine (goes along with my work too, I work in a winery & restaurant)
Playing poker & shooting pool with buddies
And of course, the obligatory movies, DVDs, TV shows and video games of every guy in his 20s.

I also am a former art & advertising major. So I like to sketch and doodle a lot too.

Here's a little peek at my basement and my wine hobby/collection/problem... Yeah, I drink a lot.
