After about 20 cigars, this cigar set me off. What's ironic is after a few years later I smoked another one of these and did not care for it as much as I did before so I put them down. I'd rather remember enjoying it.

Ashton 898. Given to me on the golf course. I accepted it to be polite not thinking I was expected to smoke it right then. Next thing I know he had cut it and was torching the foot telling me how to properly light it. I figured I'd puff on it a little and then set it down when nobody was looking. I wound up smoking most of it. The next day I noticed I was craving the taste and wanted another.

hand rolled savannah classic. they roll it on the same tables as they made their candy, so they always had a nice nutty flavor

CAO Brazilia/ AF Short Story.

The CAO got me started but the Fuente is the one that set it off. If I get a part time job, I'm gonna treat myself to a box.

I think my first "real" cigar was a Bering Casino many years ago. Many fivers and quite a few years later I was introduced to BOTL and the newbie bomb and the slope got much steeper from there!

For me it was the PAM 1926 #6, this lead to a Padron sampler from Shuckins after I won one of his contests ... 8 months later and I've been digging a hole ever since.

The Tatuaje Havana Nobles sent me down the slope...

Ditto, bingo, exactamundo! Same exact smoke.

Then the nail driver.......Tatuaje Reserva J 21 Robusto.

Done, stick a fork in me, I'll be smoking till I'm 80, etc.

Those two smokes, back to back, changed everything. :stretchgr

For me it was the Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Churchill. I know it's not the fanciest cigar in the world. However, it was the first cigar that I had that burned even, produced great smoke, didn't have a overly tight draw, and tasted great even for how mild it was. After that I have been in full pursuite of a cigar in that price range that gives me the same feeling of joy. So far I have become really attached to the RP Vintage 1990 I don't know why. I've only smoked it once and I ruined it with a bad cut. Yet I know I will go back to it, possibly this weekend at the cigar lounge.

DPG Padilla 1948 Corona Gorda. Still the most perfectly constructed cigar I have ever smoked and it was part of my first online cigar purchase.

Unbranded cigarillos from northern philippines. A grand aunt brought them with her to vancouver in the 1970's. she smoked 'em with the lighted end in her mouth. Intrigued me 'til no end ...

Arturo Fuente Flor Fina 8-5-8's. I've had much better cigars since but that started me down the path of cigar smoking.
