Well yeah but they'll still call it cameroon if grown else where. Just like some places take connecticut shade seed and grow it elsewhere. Then they just simple call it connecticut shade with a national specifier.
I was saying also, as it is given the name of where it comes from....so whether it is actually grown there, or from seed of plants from there. Much like you can have cuban seed tobacco. Should have clarified.

and what about Habano, and Ecuador Sumatra?
Do you consider Sungrown to be Colorado for the
purpose of this survey?

The options in the poll are color based. You could have a wrapper poll that asks do you prefer shade-grown, cloud-grown or sun-grown. You could ask about specific seed types: Habano 2000, Criollo 98, Corojo, Sumatran, Connecticut, Cameroon, etc.

I would be somewhat careful using specific types of wrapper leaves to describe a color. For example, Corojo cannot be found in just a colorado shade. Depending on fermentation, it can result in varying colors (and ultimately flavors imparted). A good example is Don Pepin's cigars. The Series JJ and Series JJ Maduro are both Corojo wrapper leaves. So is the El Rey de los Habanos...and that one is a Rosado Claro, which is lighter in color than the JJ.
I agree, this is just a general guide.

Not really, because a few of these wrappers can be grown in full sun. But, if a sun grown wrapper is what you really look for. I would except it as an answer in the "other" column.

For me, it's the overall experience of the cigar that I value, regardless of the wrapper.

I know some seek out certain wrappers exclusively, and that's fine.

I will not reject a cigar nor search for a cigar solely based on it's wrapper.

...My 2 cents!

Like splitting hairs! Cameroon and Maduro are the top two for me - would be interested in trying claro wrappers - no experience with them -
