Soli, & Sin, We Have Never Required a Purchase to make another purchase. The last 2 Monster releases we made more than fair. We created a lottery. If you called in and gave us your information, you received 1 lottery ticket. If you posted on our word press up to 5xs you could rec. up to 5 Free additional lottery entries. The last way to get more lottery tickets was to purchase other none limited release Tatuaje items (which we gave a box discount ) as well as an additional Free cigar On Us in every order. If you purchased a box it gave you 10 free additional lottery tickets. But, to date we have never forced you to buy box to buy another box. We push to make things fair for everyone and would never ask anyone to do such. Sorry for the confusion if you were under that impression.
Thanks guys,
Jeremy

Thanks. Email is the best method for me, as I'm not always near my phone. Hopefully I'll get my mexican experiments and my shirt, as promised.

*In regards to Pre-Orders they are just that. We charge you in advance, as do most shops to make sure your box is reserved once it arrives. *If you have a better suggestions please advise we will gladly consider, to make it easier for everyone. *
Considering that Pete Johnson told retailers not to do any pre-orders, I don't think it's right. However, I know that a lot of places did this, though 3JC's was the only one that charged before they shipped. Even Corona with the Lil' Boris's didn't/isn't charging until they ship. I understand that reserving a box requires some sort of commitment, but these have been flying off the shelves. If a few orders get cancelled, then someone else will order that box. 3JC's will have no problem with these boxes sitting around. I was more than patient and understanding, but after I received the last email from Jeremy, I lost it. Sorry for this, but I still don't think it's right to charge people for something that your company does not have in hand. Just my 2 cents.

I think its great that 3Js has come to the board - I know I am new to here (though this is not my first time riding a bike so to speak) but would like to express my frustration at the whole process with 3J - when I placed my order there was no limit posted on the website. Only yesterday was I told that I would only get one of the two boxes I ordered (that's fine, but don't leave people hanging - if its one box tell me when I order). I was also told over the phone that my order was being packed as we spoke - was asked for a shirt size as well - this was over two weeks ago. I do wonder if the shirt is still coming. I was then told I would be in the second wave of shipments - seeing that more boxes have already gone out - I see that I now need to hope that I'm in the third or fourth wave of shipments. I will say this again that I don't think you should have passed through the credit card charges without having boxes in hand - plenty of other cigar shops handle pre-orders without processing the card. You live you learn.

Stuff like this happens. Just don't let it get you bothered. I did a "group buy" and was expecting to get them pretty quickly ... but they still haven't shipped, lol.

I understand wanted to get the newest thing asap, but don't fall into the "chase" too much. They're just cigars, guys. Most of you have too many already (I certainly do). Don't get me wrong, I've been right there and been pissed as heck, but I've learned to relax (or at least I'm learning).

As far as the issue of charging before they've shipped, that was obviously a wrong decision on the part of the retailer. I'm sure they'll take care not to do that again. I think the fact that they/he came on here to clear the air is a show of good faith (I have no dog in this hunt, I"m just stating my opinion) ... but it's only forgiven if everyone gets their cigars, obviously.

And back on topic ... I'm excited to get and try these Little Monsters sometime soon (hopefully, lol).

Skimmed the last few posts, I think you guys are being a little hard on 3j's. From my understanding, they haven't really done a lot as far as mail order and I'm sure they were overwhelmed with the tatuaje frenzy. I remember the first couple of monster releases, even Dan over at NHC was having issues trying to get as many out to as many people as possible. Correct me if I'm wrong but this was their first major LE type mail order and so yes there will be glitches. Seems to me they're trying to be as fair as possible and get the sticks to as many people as best they can. Taking on the Tshirt thing probably made it even more difficult to coordinate. This happens to every retailer's first bout with a Pete, Drew type LE. Hopefully they'll take notes, fix all the issues and by the time the next LE comes around i.e. Mummy, things will be smoother. I can understand everyone's disappointment/frustration but like NJ says, they're only cigars, they're meant to lower the blood pressure not raise it lol. If by chance you miss out on one LE, the next ones' right around the corner and there are too many other great cigars out there in the meantime to becomes upset. For the little monsters, there are a lot out there so you WILL be able to get some, just be patient and smoke something else in the meantime. BTW, I have no association with 3j's, just have seen this happen way too many times and watching people get upset. (A heavy bag helps a lot in these type of circumstances ;) ) G1

Yeah, I don't agree with this at all. I'm new to the game for LEs. But, I have signed up for many pre-orders. I've NEVER been charged up from. You charge me when you ship my product, period. That's how it's been done for all the major cigar retailers online.

BTW, I didn't buy from your company. I'm just giving you my thoughts on the matter.

Just a simple suggestion, they have come here to clear up some confusion, it appears it has gotten messy, they are not a sponsor here and some consumers are not going to use them again, let's not pile on, it is not going to make the situation any better.

+1.

I, for one, greatly appreciate them hopping on here to clear up some confusion. Especially since they were pretty much walking into the lion's den. I've gotta give credit where credit is due.

Let me just say this...
I know Jeremy and have been buying from him for almost 2 years. He is a stand-up guy as with his crew and I know will work out any issues you may have. In my opinion he is one of the best guys I have ever dealt with and very sincere on making things right. I understand everyone's frustration and can see both sides of the coin on pre-order charges. Give him a chance to rectify and work out any other issued you may have and I believe you'll find your worries will subside. Again, I know Jeremy, and they really are great people at 3 J's Cigars.

Jeremy and his crew took care of my order and things went solid for monsters and mexicans. Sorry to hear there are complications but they have been solid for a lot of people. If you still feel cheated take jeremys advice and call him. Don't just trash them here...bad form. And BTW have paid up front for several LE sticks even from shops that are/were sponsors here. And have overly waited for boxes in same scenario...buut shop always came through.. Common practice imo.

So against my better judgement and the thought of not piling on

There are a few issues at hand

They took $ without having product in hand and did not communicate to consumers

They said they did not make consumers purchase X to get Y and as 25 showed us

These are the issues

Regardless of anything this is going to get messy for them

Look I just want to point out I bought boxes of the monsters from two different sponsors and had them two weeks ago. Try site sponsors first people. Second if you placed a order with 3j's I would call and ask where the box is. If it hasn't shipped then I would request your money back. If they refuse then call your card company for a charge back. You have to know your vendor folks.
