Hello fellas
I work in a state prison as a correction officer full time and as an officer with the army reserve part time. As a hobby I blog about leadership with the intent of starting my own consulting company down the road, LeadLikeahero.com. a business owner and friend of mine owns a lot of property in downtown new Brunswick that includes an empty building that we are currently planning on turning into a private cigar club. I came to Botl looking for like minded people to get some advice and insight.
As a hobby I enjoy writing. I write for a police magazine and spread my thoughts there. NJbluenow.com. I just had my first child this fall so that's where my time is going. I hope to hear from others and good luck.
Eddie

In the winter I sell skis in the summer it's golf. I also tech rep. skis and boots on snow in winter. To be honest I don't work much of the summer. Winters are crazy busy from Labor day until May so it's nice to just chill the rest of the time. Hobbies include skiing, downhill biking, sporting clays shooting and rock climbing.

I work for a local government as a building engineer. Not very rewarding but pays the bills and in this economy, you can't ask for any more.
I used to fish bass tournaments across the region and still fish a couple local tournaments a year for fun. Don't have much time for anything else, really.

I am an energy consultant for commercial buildings and I'm based out of NJ. I'm fortunate that my business requires a lot of entertaining of clients and I have a great cigar bar less than a mile from my office so needless to say you can find me there at least two days a week. Just got into cigars and boy is this hobby addictive.

I work in local politics.

Lots of drawn out boring explanations on what it is exactly I do, but basically I run around down here with all the politicians. If you are in AZ, if you watch the news later today, when they show footage of the governor's State of the State address today, look for me, I'll be on the House floor or as I like to call it, "The Funny Farm"

Also, today being the first day of session for 2014, this marks my 10 year anniversary since I started working down here. I started in 2004 working at the State Senate as what they call the "Information Officer."

4 promotions and 10 years later and now I have an even weirder, longer title "Legislative Records & Web Coordinator."

Also, being in this environment is what introduced me to cigars and bourbon and scotch and all of that. These guys down here love the stuff.

I am an engineer and work for the military. I have a pretty fun job, my group tests parachutes for the army. I won't bore you with the details, but we pretty much plan tests to throw stuff out of an aircraft. And the job is fulfilling (especially being an Army vet) because our job is to ensure that the best available equipment is availble to our warfighters.
I enjoy grilling anything and throwing a chunk of pig in the smoker until it falls apart. I also enjoy shooting and hunting (although I havent hunted since I left MN for the Army but plan on starting the next hunting season in AZ.) when I have time, nowadays I pretty busy with the house and my son (3.5yrs), he keeps me quite busy.
I also follow the MN Vikes, which has been pretty tough to do lately. I enjoy all forms of Whiskey (Bourbon, Scotch, etc....).
Uh-oh, I too am a Vikings fan, so I feel your pain. Maybe Zimmer will change the culture (of losing) up there.

As for myself, I'm finishing up a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at USC, heading into the semiconductor industry (if they'll have me) soon. I'm getting married around Memorial Day, play poker whenever I can, also like cooking, making sausages and salami, recently discovered this cigar habit. Seems like a great group of guys (and gals?) around here. Looking forward to learning and sharing with all of you.

Yeah, he is a good coordinator which hopefully translate to good head coach. I also think a big issue was our Off Coordinator, which we also have a new one. Here's to hoping!

I am a Honda Tech. Only been doing it for 4 years now. I'm 23 years old so this is my career choice. But I went to school through the Honda PACT (professional automotive career training) for a couple of years and graduated out of that program. That program was great. Honda dealers would call the head of the program and ask who needs a job. So if you didnt have a job at a dealer yet it was training and job placement. I really like working on cars. It is one of the few things I am good at naturally. Its not a high paying job or anything but its job security and I like what I do. The only thing I dont like it being frowned upon because I am a "mechanic" For some reason people I meet think its a dead beat job and all you do is roll around in oil all day. Hell we are turning into more of electricians than mechanics with all this new technology in cars.

I'm in Auto Sales and have been for 2 1/2 years. I sale high end luxury vehicles and I deal in every make and model. I honestly have to say I love it, but the hours suck horribly. My passion is cars and trucks. I own a 2000 Ford Lightning that is my baby. She is far from finished but she has come so far along. It's nothing better then to be at the track on a Saturday night or under my truck working on something. I plan on getting something else to try and make a nasty street car, just haven't decided yet.

I manage a granite and natural stone yard for 5 + year's now. We wholesale anything natural stone for your kitchen, bathroom or exterior of your home, business or custom home. I have been in the industry for over 9 years and can help with any of your natural stone needs.

I am a car enthusiasts and can work on anything new or old. My daily driver is a 2005 Chevy Extreme Colorado with a 2007 3.7 motor swapped in. I have done just about everything I can to this motor as far as intake, exhaust, headers, ported tb and tune to get it in tip top shape. I'm also apart of the 355 community and host a lot of mod meets for the local socal355 members. I've done just about anything to these trucks as far as lifting or lowering them.

I'm also in a custom car club called the Satan Shriners mainly based out of LA & Orange County. We have custom vehicle's from 1935 to 1972. I am currently working on a 1964 C-10 stepside pick up with a Cadillac 500 motor in it completely bagged.

My new addiction has become cigars and I hope to be here for a while and contribute to this forum for years to come.

I work for an electronics manufacturer in Michigan. My "official title" is MANAGER - Purchasing and Supplier Management. Kind of a ridiculously long title for a business card so the short version is that i am director of purchasing, sourcing, and supply chain. I make all our purchasing decisions and have to visit and evaluate suppliers domestically and internationally.

Ive been doing this for almost a year and a half, formerly was manager of the production side of operations. It has warranted me some nice opportunities to travel (and smoke) including China twice, Hong Kong, Ciudad de Juarez Mexico/El Paso, Montreal, Vegas, Miami and more to come. Currently planning trip to China and Taiwan for April this year. Get to go to Shanghai for the first time so pretty pumped about that.

I have a 21 month old daughter on my lap right now and baby two is due within the week. I love being a dad more than anything else. Got the itch for kids when we started taking care of our niece regularly 5 years ago. Now i have a niece who adores me and a daughter who is much more excited to see me than my wife is when i get home;)

Aside from work, family and cigars i love to play horrible golf in the summers and am trying to resurrect my passion for bowling. I am a die hard baseball nut who spends waaaay too much time reading about players and fantasy baseball with my buddies, but makes for a fun hobby. Fantasy baseball draft is set for March 22 and I cant wait!!!

Ive been getting more and more into this forum and have really enjoyed it. Lot of info, brotherhood, and experience sharing. Look forward to getting more and more involved.

I build, repair computer, work as senior systems specialist in IT department, and build websites to help companies get thier name out. On the side, I counsel people in career transition and assist in helping them get established. My personal life is God, fam, cigars/good friends.

I've worked 1000 jobs but none of my dreams, I've had a 1000 friends but only a few that made the cut. I'm 31 and still not sure what happened to my 20's. I have a 1000 interests and can afford none of them. Was married at 24 and happily divorced by 27 (oh yeah, that's what happened to my 20s) No kids but I'd like to have some soon so my future wife isn't feeding both of us mushy food out of a jar. Was a druggie in my teens, a drunk in my 20s and now sober from all of it for 3 years. If you like hot peppers, I've got a variety in my garden sure to light you up. I've got great family, great friends and am sure to drag a few of you along for the ride too! To do list: write to do list.
