On some of it you'd be okay but to be honest you'll have more fun renting something with a bit more travel. Haven't been in a few years so things could be groomed more? In CO you could ride 80% of the bike parks with a Fuel.
Renting sounds like a good option. No maintenance and storage needed. What does a basic DH bike go for?

Their rentals are really affordable, I used to rent there myself before taking the plunge and buying a bike. The rentals come with full gear and lift ticket for less than $200. A good basic DH/All mountain bike should be at least $1800. Mostly only gonna find single crown's with that price range, as most FR/DH dual crown's go for that price alone.

Haven't been since the change over. It's the same distance to Whistler for me so if I'm flying my bikes I just head North West. When I had dogs we would drive back for 3-4weeks and I'd bring my bikes. I've hit that and most of the other parts on my FR bike 5.5" front and back but it's way more fun on the DH rig. Brews is right about pricing. I have +5,000 in my DH and FR bikes. Stopped buying new ones 2 years ago and now just ride what I have till I can't lol.

40 min from trestle, hour from Keystone and Sol Vista. I ride trestle 3-4 days a week when the lifts start up. We also have a bunch of pirate trails 20 or so minutes away.

Hobbies, what's that? I have 4 kids lol. Between all their sports and activities I don't have time for to much of my own. I do help coach the younger ones in baseball, oldest is trying out for the high school team next week. I also like to cook and play xbox once in a while. I used to have a lifted a full size Bronco, it turned into my daily and I couldn't afford the gas anymore. I have promised the boys I will get another one when Mama finishes school and starts working.

I'm jealous, you seam to have a lot of DH/FR options near you. Besides Mountain Creek (May - late October) we don't have much in DH/FR parks or local trails. Just tons of XC trails.

Homebrewing is my #1 hobby, followed closely by drinking beer. I also play guitar and love to fish, although I don't get to fish in Germany. I play a little golf once in a while. All of these things seem to go great with a cigar.

Another brewer and guitar player here!! Are you on HBT by any chance?

When I'm not doing dad or brewing my hobbies are ; food and beer, cooking, bocce, hot peppers, chess, weight lifting, and the newest addition of rolling my own cigars. I love a good hobby and I'm always looking for the next one.

It takes a little skill and finesse but as long as you have the leaf at the right case it's not too difficult. Cigar molds also help a good bit but aren't a necessity. The trickier part is blending. That's where it becomes an art IMO.
