Early morning shave :)

Simple, fast, efficient. I did 2 passes, with the grain and against. Got an outstanding DFS.

I used a Feather Assist today with a Simpson Badger and AOS Sandalwood.

I feel like I am cheating on my straights using the Feather - but once you get the angle down, it's just so easy :).

completely new to this... i use an electric razor/shaver but wanted to get a single blade. are there starter kits? what items would i need?
I advise you to try a safety razor together with double edge blades. Shaving cream or soap is used with a shaving brush in order to create lather.
I can set you up with an starter kit and provide you with more info if you send me an PM

I am married to my safety razor (Edwin Jagger) with Feather blades. I've thought about switching to a straight but I like the shave I get so there's no real incentive for me.

Rob - the shave you get from a straight is just incredible! That said, the learning curve is intense. You have to commit to using it for at least (I feel) 4 to 6 months straight without straying to get it down.

If and when you can find the time - if and when you want to give it an honest shot, hit me up.
