Here in Missouri there are over 40,000 confirmed cases of flu so far this season which is the highest in the country. Since I am an old guy, I caved and got a flu shot in October. It's pretty scary stuff this year.

I am an older guy, I don't do flu shots. But when I was young I worked in healthcare, was exposed to many nasty thing, so I am hoping my immune system is strong that a flu bug. Yes when we were deal with thing like patients with hepatitis, etc., we protected ourselves.

When we were young we got dirty, played out doors, played in mug, we were not constantly using hand sanitizer, we just were normal kids. Today it seem everyone is germaphobic. So I wonder how strong the younger generation is fight off common germs, because of being germaphobic parents?

I wonder how many died from drunk drivers, and gun shot wounds? Was the flu primary cause of death to healthy people, or contributed to the death of people already very ill with say cancer, etc.

Those 39 was caused by flu they had them divided up in age groups 1-5 20-26 and greater than 56

Lol no but if I continue down the path I’ve been going it will be soon enough so I’m starting my cardio back up again and getting serious about everything again Cuz I can’t take it haha

My cousin in Kalifornia who is 2 month younger then me said his Flu was three weeks of hell. It was most URI (pulmonary), just nasty. He had a Flu shot, apparently it is 10% effective.

I believe that the statistic of 39 dead from the flu in Indiana is an accurate stat and that it looks terrible.

Na fuck that man, I already gained 20lbs since early last year (granted some muscle) but mostly fat and it’s depressing - don’t wanna end up like Chuck gotta get back down to 190-195

I completely agree, I would much rather not get the vaccine at all, but because of some wonderful laws in Colorado I am forced to because I work for a medical provider. When I wasn’t taking the vaccine I was the healthiest I’ve ever been, but now I am always the sickest person in the family and usually am sick more often.

Wow they force you? I'm with you on being the sickest one in the family. Every year from October - April I am sick, and I have always been vaccinated, but this year (last really) I decided to experiment and I did not get the vaccination.

All the girls at work have had it, my wife, her family, and my stepson, so far *knock on wood* I have not been ill.

I'll probably get sick right on my bday in March lol.
