@EL Corojo - You just think you have a Smart Sensor from Boveda. I just saw this on Halfwheel:
“The Boveda Smart Sensor is now shipping to stores, only it’s called something different. Boveda has opted to rename the Boveda Smart Sensor to Boveda Butler. The reason behind the change is because the company believes that the device is more than just a sensor or glorified hygrometer.”

The Boveda web site is updated, too.

Oh snap, he ticked up a notch.
I'm still having to add humidity once a week or so but it holds steady after; just add a little distilled water to an old school sponge humidifier, but then the Bovedas keep it perfect for the rest of the week. I've spoken with several Brothers about this and we think that it will resolve itself as the cabinet fills. Thats where the tick up came from.

@EL Corojo Whats the bottom of your cabinet look like? May need to eventually beef up the laquer finish, it will keep the moisture from evaporating through the wood.

When I store cigars in a coolidoor I usually cover them with wax paper or between the cooler base and it's lid to help hold the humidity in, works pretty well. Cheap, easy and if it doesn't work you haven't irreparably harmed anything.

See pic posted a few days ago, mostly well laqeuered, one spot where it got wet during the conversion is plain wood. If I have any problems; I’ve decided to cover the inside in Spanish Cedar planks. No problems yet though.

I’m getting my humidor set for low humidity winter. It’s been about a month. I’m now at about 68.5% started the climb at 65%. I put in the 72% Bovedas in to get humidity established for the super dry air on the way. Once the dry air hits the humidity gets pulled out of the wood humidor. It can turn fast once it hits.
