Those look great!!
My local B&M's are being very vague as to whether they're getting any Tat Tubos in. I'm still trying to find some Tat Blacks - hopefully I'll get lucky soon. In the meantime, thank goodness for people like Dan...

Please allow me to cheer everyone up with some nice Verocu Tubo porn.

And yes, Brandon, the box is really huge & heavy! :smokingbo

Anyone smoked the reds or blacks yet? Interested to get more feedback and see if others are getting paint taste.

Smoking one now....

Same basic profile as the CG but some of the flavors are not as predominant, not a strong as the robusto. Overall not as good as the cg but better than the robusto....
And that's brand new and OTT ... with after the standard 5-month "cooling off" period I always give Tatuaje cigars, I'm guessing these will be pretty darn great. With the big rg I'd probably expect a smoother smother too, especially with more age.

I have seen complaints elsewhere of a "heavy laquer smell" with regards to the red tubos. I have a box of the black tubos and have nor experienced any issues.
I got my box of Reds the other day. I did think the box smelled a bit, both inside and outside. But I opened and inspected each cigar because I couldn't help myself. They smelled GOOOOOOOD to me! No laquer or anything, at least on these 10. I am letting the box dry out a bit before I stick it in the humi, though. It's a very cool box (and really heavy, as someone else pointed out ... not a cheap piece of cedar here!).

Sadly, it's too cold to smoke one.

I just placed an order for a box of each. Should see them by the end of the week. There is a B&M here in Chicago (Up Down Cigars) that said that they should have a very limited number (but they didn't know how many) by the end of the week.

I wish my B&E would get a shipment of Tats... I was told they have been waiting for quite a while. I like variety... and out of the 3 Tats they have left in stock... I'm bored of them all. Heck, maybe one day they will get some of the Black Tubos...

The couple of singles of Verocu's and Black's I was able to get came in the mail today. Made sure to smell them before putting them away in the cooler, but didn't smell anything other than tobacco. I also took them out of the tubos to rest for a bit before lighting one up in a couple of weeks. I agree though, these smell wonderful!

Good call...

No problems with the black boxes.. Without giving a though to it I tossed the beautiful boxes in my vino last night when I got home, opened it for a bed time smoke and the smell of paint was overwhelming, I pulled all my boxes to let it air out, and took all the tubos out.. Smelled the cigars didn't notice anything just the smell of sweet sweet yums. My guess is the factory plastic wrap just slowed the process on the red boxes.. Not a biggie... Boy did I mention how beautiful the presentation is!!! Great job Pete!

I just received my 5 reds and 5 blacks today. They smell great and no signs of other types of odors. Letting them rest in the vino.

So I received good news and bad news today. The good news is that my box of red tubos came in today. The bad news is that half of them came in pretty messed up from the cap end. I don't think I would blame this on the company I purchased them from because the box was packaged pretty well and did not have any damage to it. I would probably have to attribute this to those that actually rolled and packaged them into the tubos. I will post pics as soon as I can, but once you all see these, you will know what I mean. What can/should I do? Should I contact the company I purchased them from or should I contact the tatuaje company and provide pics? How should I proceed?

If you received damaged cigars, the retailer should either refund your money or replace them.

The manufacturer is sometime here watching, so maybe he'll chime in.

I would change your thread heading though, to get better attention.

Mention Tat Red Tubo's in the heading.
