I personally plan on picking up a box for my own personal consumption and I was lucky enough to get my hands on box No. 71. :cbig:

I for one I'm excited about hearing that the cigar is a real pepper bomb! :cbig:

I smoked one today and it is typical Pepin...in a great way. Awesome flavors, peppery like one would expect, medium to medium-full. Great construction, burned perfect to the very nub with zero draw issues and no re-lighting necessary. I absolutely LOVED this smoke.

Still a easy one for me. Thanks for the review Brooks. Not only would I guess these are going to age like some of his other stuff. I love the man too much to not get a box. The fact that he ate last at his casa on our last day when everyone else was finished meant everything to me. These just belong in my humi for more of a collectors/memory standpoint I guess. And the fact that he may never roll a production cigar again let alone with his son.
I agree to a degree, and will try to get a couple if I can for these reasons. If I can get one soon enough, I'll try it and see if I like it enough to buy more (at this price, I'd need to freakin' love the thing to buy a box ... but I had my first Padron 40th last week ... and freakin' loved it, lol).

I really appreciate your review, Brooks, and the fact that you've got the balls to post a less-than-glorifying appraisal and picture, especially with this crowd, lol. Good on ya, mate.

x2 Well said.
Totally agree with Justin and AJ!

Hell yeah, add me to this list... well said Justin! I already have my full box paid in full and can't wait to get them in!

At B&Ms mostly I would bet. I don't think there will be a whole lot of online selling of this cigar. They are starting to arrive at shops now but many do not have them yet.

Smoked my first one tonight, damn this cigar is a big-time pepper bomb!! Generated alot of smoke and I would rate it a full-bodied smoke. Glad I'm getting a box of them!

Had one last night. very peppery and Pepin-y, very one-dimensional in the first half (not a fave for me), but then it turned very sweet and complex the last half. great construction.

So far the reviews that I have read have been less than stellar. I think these are going to have to age for a year or more before they really stand out

Personally I think they are smoking just fine, I enjoyed my first one last night. Like I stated in my previous post, they are a real "pepper bomb", lots of smoke and not one re-light diring the smoke. Would a little age improve them, sure it would. But like I said I think they are smoking just fine now.

Agreed Larry. I will say I think I would prefer mine without a lot of age though, simply because I like the strength and pepper on it now. A lot of that tends to mellow as the age comes into play. But I loved this stick.

Although I'm a big Pepin fan, I'm not a big pepper fan. I like some pepper, but not the huge bombs so I'm a little disappointed to hear this. Obviously it's not surprising because it's coming from Pepin, but I loved the Pelo de Oro flavor of Pete's La Verite so I was hoping Pepin's Limited would not be a huge pepper bomb. My box will definitely get some good rest... but after smoking one of course :)

Larry you and Dave hit the nail on the head I would really enjoy this cigar. Got my box today and smoked one. And your statement is spot on.

And I disagree...the ones I smoked were not a bad cigar, for for the price and knowing what they were trying to do, I did not think they were anything overly special...

A good smoke, for sure, but nothing that would make me buy a box (or even close to it)...

Just MHO, of course...

Heard there was a B&M sending back 10-20 boxes, thought they were like smoking hot air.
My local B&M has sold close to half of their allocation (20) and have only had them since Monday, so go figure. :dunno:
