New home roller here. I started designing some molds that can be 3D printed because I wanted a variety and $100/mold from ABS plastic is kind of expensive for a hobby. Here's one of my molds: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2264486
I'm working on a 6 stick version, various rings. I can also create any arbitrary design (torpedo, etc). Feel free to give me a holler if this interests you.

Can I get a quote on a mold with the Hemingway cigar sizes in it?
Well, I haven't considered selling them, yet. It's a hobby for now. I don't know how much people need molds. I've been looking for about a month and have been very disappointed in the options so I decided to DIY. I've also considered hand crafting a wood case around the plastic so it is also visually appealing. Maybe nice dovetail joins, with some nice Oak. Even though it is a hobby, I'm happy to try to help. First, do you have the dimensions and curves I could look at to cut the bunch out of the mold with? With that, I could pretty much make anything physically possible in a commercial mold.
If you used the commercial services on Thingiverse I think that 60 ring mold at the link goes for about $65 for just one print. I have my own 3D printer, so I don't use online printing services. I imagine my 6 stick molds will go for much more at a commercial printing house because it is 3x the plastic to the 2 stick mold. It took me 24 hours (and still going right now) to print my 54 ring round head mold with 6 sticks. I also use ABS plastic.

Yes I think I could probably do one of those. My current molds are open ended for the standard round head parejo, so those would need to be somewhat closed on the foot. I could probably extend the mold to the size of the cigar instead of having it be variable length for the parejo. I think that's doable. Some look tapered from head to foot while some look straight. I think the mold in the picture above is 6.5" long. I have more room if needed. I could probably do a 7" cigar and still have plenty of room.

Yep, just a standard round head. Strongly interested!
If you wanted just the plastic one I could probably put this together for around $50 which covers the consumables and it will take a little time to modify one of my existing molds (plus a day of printing time if nothing gets jammed and I have to start over), and then whatever it costs to ship it to wherever you are. I'm on the east coast of US. I'm beta testing wrapping my molds in a hard wood so it is more visually pleasing but still have the benefits of plastic (i.e. no cracking and humidity issues you see with wood). I suspect it will turn out nice, but it involves more time and consumables.

If you wanted a more "fine" or "detailed" print it would take longer. You make the layers thinner so it is overall smoother. It could be anywhere from 2-5x longer depending on the settings I use. The one in the picture above is high speed and larger layers. Still the same functionality and total plastic for what I needed, but just less printing time.
