• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Just wanted to say thanks again to ALL the brothers and sisters out there.

Welcome back to BOTL. I wish I could adequately express how grateful I am for the sacrifices made every day by our armed forces service men and women. Thank you for all you do.

Pinar Del Rio Reserva Dominicana Toro Cigar Review Video

Was this the toro or the robusto? Picture, and dimensions described sound like robusto. Regardless, even despite the mixed reviews I've read about these, I still want to try them. I'm really looking forward to info about the release of the Capa Natural that you've photographed (white band?)...

    What's for dinner?

Had leftover Grecian Spaghetti from a restaurant across the street from my pharmacy. Owner is a transplant from Greece, and this stuff is ridiculously good, but heavy as hell, and a single order could feed 4 people easily, so I always get multiple meals out of it. They take spaghetti pasta...

Based on my experience doing so recently, for 75$, you can set up a 100qt coolerdor with all the fixins'.

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Almost 50F outside right now, so I'm smoking a larger cigar than normal for this time of year... Air Bender Chisel. Deeeelicious.

    Padron 1926 Serie No.9 Maduro

Great little write up dude. Thanks for sharing. I love that even the high end Padrons have a rustic, old world, almost ugly look to them (Not the bands, obviously, but the wrappers, especially do), but they are some of the classiest, most complex smokes on the market.

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Looking forwards to it. Only ever had the 1964s, never a 26... I know... crazy.

Partagas 8-9-8 varnished or Bolivar Coronas Extra?

Haven't had either, but I would probably buy a box of 898s before the CEs, only because I like the vitola more. I also tend to like Partagas more in my experience with the two brands. Why not buy both?

    Cigar Pet Peeves

Thought of another, but this has less to do with actually smoking a cigar, than with business/marketing practices that brands use. I really hate when cigar producers mislabel their vitola sizes. Or rather, when they use inappropriate names. This especially comes into play with the use of the...

    Cigar Pet Peeves

I have noticed that my palate suffers during cold weather. Just not as sharp. I have a much harder time picking out flavors. I also have noticed (not sure if cold has anything to do with it) that I have been getting a lot more tar build up lately. Sucks, and tastes horrible. I just hate winter...

    Which current cigar

Oh, mis-read what the first post said. I can't open my humidor without reaching for a PCR or a Monte 4 before stopping and thinking about how I want to save some, and should smoke something else.
