  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    This is an interesting point A, and despite only being in the Habanos game for a short time, I am constantly shocked at the ease with which some people happen to come upon boxes with some serious age on them. Not likely to find boxes of Opus with 6+ years of age on them with that kind of ease...

    Every time I go to my B&M I walk out with at least one Fuente stick, and one LFD stick. It just happens that way, without even thinking about it. Usually an Air Bender, and a Magnum R.

    Obviously depending on several factors, I would actually trade out CCs for Opus. I love my CCs, but I think at this point in my smoking life, I would rather smoke an Opus than almost any CC I've had.

    Meh. Smoked a couple of culebras before, and it just doesn't appeal to me. I could see having a couple on hand, but I would never buy a box of culebras (any, not just Tats) because I typically smoke alone.

    These things are great now, but I think will really be something special after a year or so to really settle, and figure out what they want to be. They have moments where they can be a little muddled and dirty on the palette. I think once they age a little, they will be something really special.

    Bang for your buck smoke under 6 bucks

    Cuchillos Cubanos for one. Also, if you have the patience to let a cheap smoke really rest, then Diesel gets really good with 6 months or more, in my experience.

    Holy Lance Maduro/Candela?

    I don't think of Candelas as being creamy at all, in my experience. Not really sweet either. More a dry, grassy, earth flavor, with very defined peppery notes. Not harsh pepper, just very specifically white or black peppercorn flavors. Obviosuly the sharp, fresh cut grass element is key.
