• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Pipe tobacco storage

Depends on what kinds of pipe tobacco. I store mostly tins and then will smoke through the tin within a few weeks so never have to worry much about it. Bulk tobacco should be stored in airtight jars out of the light if storing for long periods of time. Just like my cigars I prefer cooler temps...

Feedback on a business idea - Custom cigar blends

I have heard of people trying to blend their own cigars on trips like cigar safari with mixed results. They usually have the advantage of knowing what the tobacco tastes like in the cigars it is normally used for. Posted via Mobile Device

    Paul Stulac Cigars?

Not quite unheard of. The fact that it is being heard of in the US first may be. Thomas Hinds has been quite successfull accross Canada.

    Cigar Night or not?

100% agree here. Sometimes cigars aren't even just about the cigars. Getting out meeting up with a bunch of people who enjoy the same hobby you do is a great escape. The same reason I enjoy going to B&M's even tho most of the time you can get a better price online. Posted via Mobile Device

    Construction / Quality ?

When I first started smoking I could walk into any humidor and pick the only plugged stick in there. Times have changed and I no longer even worry about a plugged stick. Not to say it doesn't happen but rarely. I will say that the part of that that I do appreciate is my love for NC's. If I...

    Viaje Stuffed Turkey

I have met Andre before and I try not to put him down in most of these threads but I had a completely different opinion of him. I didn't get cigar maker out of him as much as a career salesman. That said there are many other brands made by Don Pepin that no seems to complain that they don't...

    Viaje C4?

So much like many others where some will love and some will hate it. :) I have found much out of that factory ages really well. But for me that is the 3 years plus range. Love me some 07 illusione's. Much of the reason I bought as much Viaje as I have is in hopes that it will age as well...

    Egomaniac Cigar Bloggers?

Cigar sommeliers exist in europe as every year at the Habanos festival there is a  Sommelier competition. I guess biggest problem with it is that I believe the program is only for Habanos. No support for NC's at all. Posted via Mobile Device

    Egomaniac Cigar Bloggers?

Now I understand why some people are put off by bloggers but the only ones who really drive me crazy are the ones who invade my home of here. Not going to say there are many but there is at least one who only comes here to promote his blog. If you have a blog but still come here to be a part...

    My Kind Of Humidor!!!

Externally accessable drawers is the answer to this one for me. But can see the preferance for slanted shelves. Other issue for me is I don't like glass doors much. Easier to tell my wife they aren't that full when she can't just see in.

    Montecristo # 7 = XX NC?

#7 was discontinued in the early 80's. 28 rg by 6.5" I think. Have never actually seen one but reminds me of LGC MdO#3 and ERDM panatella larga so I like the size. Not sure how the monte blend would do but would love to try one. Posted via Mobile Device

    Viaje Stuffed Turkey

I am not sure I find this to be a bad thing for the cigar industy. Will he become as big as Tatuaje in many B&M's? I doubt it many people by to smoke right away and not to hoarde as many of us do. The lack of being able to go back to the store and buy more of the same cigar could hurt his growth...

    My Kind Of Humidor!!!

I still don't like display shelves. My cabinets are only 6' tall so can see to the top easily enough. Accumonitor system has a feast enough recovery time that loss of humidity not a big concern, also store almost xeclusively in boxes anyways so a little more protection there from humidity...

    My Kind Of Humidor!!!

Kinda cool but not a fan of cabinets with display shelves. The way that one is laid out might be enough gun storage but would a lot more cigar storage. Posted via Mobile Device
