• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Review: LaCrosse TX60U-SET WiFi Hygrometer

An interesting observation from this morning. I went to measure the dimensions of my igloo'dor this morning, so I had the lid open for maybe a minute. Probably 90 seconds at most. I went to look at the history of readings this morning just for the heck of it and noticed a slight humidity...

Tampa Memorial Day Golf 'n Smoke

Little bump just in case someone hasn't seen this. Come on folks, don't make me golf with complete strangers.

Sounds like some F'ed up Town management to me. Can't hardly blame the Officer.

WTH? WAY more information needed, but regardless, that's F'ed up.

    Review: LaCrosse TX60U-SET WiFi Hygrometer

Thanks guys. I'm really liking this set-up so far. The biggest negative is the same one I have been voicing for wireless hygrometers for years now, and that is that no one has yet to come up with one that can be self-calibrated. Granted when I download the spread-sheet I can simply create a...

Is my humidor over-stuffed / too full?

Nope. You are talking about a fairly small space and while there may be a small variation in RH between where you have the beads and the farthest place from them, it should be small given a humi with a good seal. The beads should keep the entire humi environment about the same so long as you...

    History of manure

Ask yourselves why extremely talented coders make viruses that do nothing but delete files or otherwise screw up your computer. Some people just don't know what to do with the talents they've been given.

    Shilala Beads vs Heartfelt Beads

Can't see polls on TapaTalk so I didn't know this was one. Need a "both" option as that will soon be my answer. Currently I use Heartfelt.

    Shilala Beads vs Heartfelt Beads

Tom, I'm on my phone or I'd link it, but I think I started a thread not long ago on this. HCM beads don't have the visual clue that HF do, so yeah, you do kind of need the hygrometers. But it is not quite as simple as adding more water if you want a higher humidity. You can condition the beads...

Is my humidor over-stuffed / too full?

That's pretty stuffed. I think your beads placement is fine. Spreading them out wouldn't hurt, but probably not a big difference in that size humi. As to cooling an igloodor...eh, I wouldn't try it. The concept of an igloodor is bulk storage cheap. The insulation helps to keep the temp even...

    Today's Smoke (2004-2022 Archive)

Liga Privada T52 Toro. Spaced on bringing smokes with me to Naples (quick trip for a dog show), so ran over to Bonita Smoke Shop and picked a couple up. Have NOTHING with me, lol, so cut with a crappy toss away cutter (still, big thanks to the guy at the shop for hooking me up) and lit with...

    this is worrisome

We are looking at this from hindsight. Try to see it from the viewpoint of 'this is happening now'. Are we now saying it is up to the homeowner to decide when the police officer at the door has Probable Cause to enter the home?

    this is worrisome

Sorry, but I'm not taking the article's word for that. And how would it be overturned? The article already suggests that the entry was illegal (though it doesn't say clearly). This case wasnt about whether or not the officers were correct in going into the house. The ruling doesn't grant any...

    this is worrisome

And how do you 'bar illegal entry' without it resorting to something that can be considered 'attacking the officer'. I could be mistaken, but I'm willing to bet that just about any physical contact would be construed as 'assault'. Further, how many here truly know the law well enough to judge...

    Cuban Limited Editions

No argument here. I've yet to hear enough overly positive about the EL's to justify them to me. Then again, I'm not sure I could. The prices are just out of my reach for the most part.

    this is worrisome

There are many types of "force" when it comes to domestic abuse. I'd have to see more information, but I would be surprised if the situation presented wasn't covered under probable cause. In fact, nothing about the article actually tells us if the entry WAS illegal. Of course, I expect it...

    this is worrisome

Not from me, I hate that friggin' argument. But again, you can really conceive of a situation where you would attempt to physically block/remove a police officer from entering your home?
