I've said this before - but this is just a reminder. I'll be breaking BOTL over time in order to get it into a far better place. Just be patient if you can't reach us! We'll be back
Shooting on a Canon 6D and upgraded to a Rokinon DS35M-C 35mm cine lens before last year's show. For audio we're using a Rode Reporter mic with a wireless kit.
For those who aren't aware, I do video and interview coverage for a site, and part of that is covering the IPCPR each year. Starting in 2015 we did B roll video of all the fuck ups and shennanigans that went on. I just finished with the 2016 video, it's good for a few laughs.
And if you want...
I'll tell ya, I've been on the Drew Estate Cigar Safari ... 6 times now I think? And I almost got a tattoo the last time. I think if I were to get a tattoo I'd have to get a tobacco leaf, maybe I'd get the stock image of the ligero, viso, seco or something.
I've found that root beer, like coffee, pairs with everything really well. Our previous co-host Robby had a standing challenge for someone to find a cigar pairing with root beer that didn't work.
Thanks for the love and support. As a long commute guy myself I find the way to avoid road rage is...
Hey BoTLs / SoTLs, I do a weekly pairing show where we pick a cigar and try to find successful pairings with beverages (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). Tonight we're featuring the Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust Sobremesa with some whiskies.
Thanks!
Quick point of clarification: AC wasn't breached, it was their payment provider Aptos that was breached. Why is this relevant? Because if any other online retailers use Aptos, your data has been breached with them as well.
Here's a list of stores that use Aptos as their payment provider...

Havana 2017
I just recently returned from another trip to Havana, my first since 2015. Having been down to Havana multiple times in the past, it’s always interesting to reflect on any changes I’ve experienced in the city.
Mental note: don’t do a 7 day cigar trip to Nicaragua and then roll...
I listen to a lot of cigar industry podcasts but also Hardcore History, BeerSmith. For cigar podcasts I listen to Stogie Geeks, Smooth Draws Radio, The Cigar Authority, Developing Palates and Cigar Jukebox.
Cigar Federation has multiple shows going on 5+ years now. CigarChat with industry guests, Sharing Our Pairings for cigar and beverage pairings, and audio reviews.

Hah yeah, I coined 'Freedom Degrees' on our pairing show as I had to switch between metric and imperial for the temperature I was smoking in and various alcohol measurements.
Thanks for the love. I did a video of it too, because I've had so many questions about it. I've been using that method for almost 4 years now. I also switched over to v-cutting about 95% of the time.
Really my goal is to get the best possible flavors I can.
These came to me by way of a 10 count box I purchased. For those that track box codes, the box code on this was AUB JUL 12. I had the fortune of trying these for the first time when I was in Cuba, in November of 2013. A generous BoTL gave me one and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wasted no...
I use this one:

It has the range of doing coffee and all the way down to fine grind espresso. But that's a pretty high end option.
