• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Glad to hear! Amazing work. When I can afford a house, I'll make sure it has an old storage closet in the basement. Thanks for a great thread.

    NJ tax audit for cigars?

Why wouldn't supplier tell Jersey to shove it though? How can Jersey enforce their tax code in another state? It's really weird. I'm thinking it might have something to do with bank or credit card and his interstate transaction. So is OP paying Chicago city tax, Illinois State tax, New Jersey...

    NJ tax audit for cigars?

Used them many times. Absolutely great retailer. Plus 10% code. I wonder how they avoid 95% state tax? But they are def in my rotation.

    NJ tax audit for cigars?

I would definitely call retailer. They may have been recently audited, and IRS sent notifications to state-level departments. Tell them you are pissed and will never order from them again. I just cannot understand how interstate-commerce and taxation departments alerted each other. Maybe it's...

    NJ tax audit for cigars?

I'm waiting for the day California comes after me too! Because of the insane 95% tobacco tax in the state, I'm forced to buy from Arizona and Florida retailers who offer me free shipping. It's only a matter of time before some sharp law-school intern at State Capitol in Sactown figures out that...

    What does it mean?

I'm by no means an expert, but would counterfeiters make the extra effort? Who knows. LOL!

    What does it mean?

Don't worry. That means they're more likely legitimate.

    First humidor advice.

Welcome to BOTL, Oscar. Here's a Tupperdor that has worked for me for two years without a single issue. It is very simple to construct, very cheap, and very effective for long-term storage: 1) The container: Must have air-tight seal. Notice the rubber stripping around the edges of the lid. This...

    2016 Masters Thread

Spieth is phenomenally talented, but experience always trumps youthful inexperience at the Masters. He hit the same shot on 12 in the 2014 final round against Bubba. Even Tiger Woods, who hit some of the most aggressive and insane shots ever on that course, always showed great deference to the...

Nice selection of bourbons too, and nice selection of TAA exclusives. If I lived in Ft. Myers, I would be a regular.

If you're up for a little drive south, World Famous Cigar Bar in Fort Myers is a great place, TAA shop.

UPDATE - NJ BOTL: Proposed Cigar Tax hike from 30% to 90%!

These cash-strapped municipalities are desperately reaching. Christie should just build another bridge from Manhattan and call it a day.

    What does it mean?

It usually means that vendor is protecting its distribution rights by removing serial number. Habanos S.A. can revoke distribution rights from vendor if they're selling product outside their licensed region. There might also be micro-printed serial numbers on government seal, but you'll need a...
