• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Popcorn Sutton

I wonder if it is any different than any number of white dogs on the market already... We have access to quite a few here in Virginia (as well as plenty of "White Whiskey" not sold in the ABC stores...), and in my experience there isn't much variance in taste.

I don't think it is available yet. At least that's the impression I got from looking into it recently.

    Viaje Facebook News

During his presentation at the Big Smoke seminars in November, Andre actually said that the original concept for the brand was to be entirely "Small Batch", and let's be honest... the limited releases are the only Viaje smokes anyone jumps for anyway.

    blenders

Hey Kuz. My understanding is that this info is basically top secret in the factories where each cigar is made. I do know that they keep extensive records of blends, and have for ages, so for instance when blending cigars like the UK PL regionals based on classic cigars from ages past, they...

    FTTF Blind Cigar A

FTTF BLIND REVIEW CIGAR A Approx 5x42 So this is the first cigar of three that Fourtotheflush sent for blind review. It is a good looking little petit corona with a fan tail and closed foot. Wrapper color is a dark caramel brown, with a fair amount of tooth to it. Veins are visible and...

    Scotch recomendation

One of my recent favorites in Bunnahabhain. It's from Islay, but is very lightly peated. It is also non-chill filtered, and has no color added. If you are looking for something different, Bunnahabhain is definitely different.

Cigar Aficionado Top 25 for 2011

I actually don't think the 11-25 bunch is that bad... Some stinkers in there, but for a CA top 25, it could be worse...

    Mu'd ??

What do you call it when you MU a shitty cigar after only an inch? Don't what what I was thinking this morning when I lit a XEN by Nish. Smoked around a half inch, and had to throw it at the ground, really hard...

    Diesel Sampler?

Unholy Cocktail is the one I would smoke. Despite the large ring, being a belicoso makes it manageable. They are cheap as dirt, and mellow out into a nice, dark, flavor bomb after a few months. The upcoming Crucible is going to be interesting. Smoked some test blends for it, and they were all...

Cigar Aficionado Top 25 for 2011

It's a complex algorithm. Once they get a list together of everything rated over 90, then they multiply those scores by advertising revenue, and they are left with a much smaller list of cigars that their advertisers will find acceptable. Thought this was common knowledge!

Cigar Aficionado Top 25 for 2011

I like Alan Rubin, and I think Alec Bradley sells some good, well made cigars, with some interesting blends... but at the end of the day, nothing they sell would make me go "Oh boy, I can't wait to light this (insert AB cigar)". Would much rather see Fuente, or something from Cuba in #1 than AB...

    New Opus X

Managed to snag 2 singles each of 4 different sizes for MSRP, so I'm happy. Gonna burn one sometime this weekend. If it isn't all I hope it will be, I'll just MU it, and burn a Thompson Special.

Cigar Aficionado Top 25 for 2011

Seriously though, how can anyone actually be pissed about this list? It is pretty much exactly what should have been expected. That the Cabaiguan was in the top 10 is awesome, and a surprise (it certainly deserves it). While I don't agree with much of the list so far, I'm not shocked by any of...
