• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

What’s the best way to develop my palette

My wife tells me when I drink beer and eat chili dogs to drive to the next state and stay there until she gives the "all clear"....about 4 days.

What’s the best way to develop my palette

There are alrealdy good answers to your query....not all of us smoke cigars the same but we do share commonality as far as technique. There are ways by which we can enhance the experience and taste flavors and it's a continued exposure to any particular brand. There are some "no-nos" that need...

Smoking to manage pain - your experience?

Nicotine has shown to stimulate endorphins in the brain,,,,this is what helps with pain ( dopamine ) but it only lasts for a short time and is countered by all of the chemicals used in the makeup of tobacco so it becomes a circular process of pain relief,,,,much like opiates as an addiction...

Smoking to manage pain - your experience?

Have suffered with Chronic Pain Syndrome for 24 years...due to several illnesses/diseases that flair.,,RA being one of them and Fibromyalgia.....Osteoarthritis as that should be enough for one person. I see Pain Management specialists once a month to take the dreaded opiates.....oral and patch...

Well this sucks Trump administration halts cruises to Cuba under new rules

There are different POV as to what we as the Consumer can do in these situations....I've learned through experience as to what can be mitigated....I'd probably take the full refund and use that money to do the best cruise to Havana I could find. This story kind of aggravates the situation to...

    How does ci age verify

Age verification is a somewhat protection for the Vendor.....they know a kid in N. Carolina can fill in the info to place an order and lie their pants off as long as they have a legit means to pay for the product....that's the biggest hurdle. This is a disclaimer to insulate them from litigious...

Well this sucks Trump administration halts cruises to Cuba under new rules

I had plans to cruise there and held back...it was in September so good thing I didn't pull the trigger on this. Reported that some cruiselines have changed course with their itinerary...shame that their plans just got screwed...NO SOUP FOR THEM...or CIGARS!

    How does ci age verify

To my knowledge...they don't and even if they tried to slip a note or pretend that they use a process of verifying....it would be totally subjective...at best. You'll be fine ordering those Nubs...just let them rest for a month or so esp. with CI and their notorious storage of 70%RH. Rule of...

    Hello from so cal!

SS has been a " go to" for more than a decade...yeah...it has the appearance of a greasy spoon but I think they may put crack in it as I'm addicted. El INdio is great. Las Cuatro Milpas is amazing....Robertos is good and if you're down by the track....Tony Jacals which has been there...

    Hello from so cal!

Do they still make you smoke outside in the patio.....not that I don't like it considering SD weather is always 72 degrees.

    Hello from so cal!

LIberty is a great place to hang out....ever since 2007 I've gone there. Good places downtown at the Gas Lamp District, too. Racine is good enough if you don't mind the touristy stuff in Old Towne. Excalibur tends to get a bit expensive but it's a nice lounge as well but all things...

    Wineador active and passive humidification

i have a wine cooler that I've used for years and had to deal with fluctuations accordingly but I have used KL to tame the beast when it started to take the numbers up and down. My wife got me the Whynter 251...( cigar humidor that is exclusive to cigars...not a wine cooler appliance but...

    Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniv. Champagne

Try these in the Maduro Noir......I've all but given up on Naturals in any brand except for the AF SS.....but even then I'm partial to the dark wrappers. Rest them for at least a few months because the wrapper tends to insulate and takes longer for the balance to come through but when it...
