• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Cigar to say goodbye with

In any event...it's a celebration of life...born and passing. I think the ritual cements personal feelings and you'll associate the memory of your Granfather with that cigar every time you smoke one. Thoughts are with you and you're a good grandson to be so observant...your Grandad is proud of...

    Xikar Warranty/ bitch /rant

Some B&M's will do you a favor and swap them out which is one reason to have a couple of relationships with these businesses to get you ahead in the que ....but I feel your pain. Nothing spells frustration like getting to the end of a toilet paper roll in one of those metal canisters at the...

    New from Socal

Welcome from a part timer from San Diego.....down to 1 watch....heathen!! Sounds like you have some great vices to play around with....I'm down to 25 watches now and the cost of batteries is crazy per year so now I do them myself......

Late night smoking and discussion thread

Back in the earlier days when Forums and chat rooms were really popular ...2011 - 2015 I'd video herf for hours while smoking cigars...as many as 12 people at once and then we'd have to split rooms because everyone was talking at once....6 is manageable....12.....not so much. Since Im retired...

    First CC box purchase recommendations

Hard to tell YOU what to smoke or like for that matter. Most who dip their toes into the CC world tend to do samplers to get a sense of what they like....otherwise it's a crap shoot and expensive to just throw darts at the CC world. YOUR tastes are what is important so at least try to...

    Roth IRA or ?

Having retired at the tender age of 43.....( am 65 now ) strategy is very important and you already have the earmarkings of being thoughtful about how to go about doing this. Social Security isn't going to be a guarantee at the age you are...probably won't even be solvent nor supported...by...

What I Really Hate about Smoking Cigars is when...

You shoulda been there up close and personal...glad that it wasn't a stringer.... that's when it really makes you sick!

What I Really Hate about Smoking Cigars is when...

uh....some things I don't share and pass around....cigars are one item. Not sure where that mouth has been or what it's been doing. Saw one guy at a B&M years ago who was picking his nose and then slowly put some boogerage into his piehole....thought nobody was looking. I tend to people-watch...

What I Really Hate about Smoking Cigars is when...

Or....when they sit down by you after they see you with a cutter...they begin to lick the head of their cigar like it was a T bone steak....then casually lean over and ask you if they can "borrow" your cutter.....seriously...really dude? Would you like me to wipe your ass while we're at it?

    Wineador cc-300h humidity issue

Fans at the bottom of the unit help in keeping a RH balance....warm air rises so you want this loop which disperses the RH inside ....instead of it just hovering in one part. The original fan that is there is actually enough but to continue the loop.....another fan helps.....just don't get one...

    Wineador cc-300h humidity issue

I'm not going to mess with running wires or adding fans.....there are battery powered units that can be used....pennies to swap the batteries every month or so if one need extra circulation and they can be programmed to cycle...best place to put them is at the bottom as warm humid air rises so...

Workouts, Exercises and Stretches + Pain Relief and Injury Prevention.

My advice....stay away from getting older....at 65 I have pain where nothing touches it.....so smoking more cigars is one answer for me to take my mind off it. Honestly....neutral buoyancy or sea water ( lots of salt will ease pain which I travel to the Caribbean and Amelia Island in Forida to...

What flavor notes do like the most?

Yep....I'm on the "cream, spice and leather with a hint of wood" train. Complex flavors are my favorites as it's like taking a little trip to TobaccoLand. One dimensional cigars with less than 2 flavors tend to bore me as it's just tobacco flavor....I get that with Red Man or Copenhagen etc...

    Wineador cc-300h humidity issue

Yeah....I like that idea of a timer...beats me having to babysit a fan so may have to put that on my "to do list".....the single fan on my units don't get past 66 degrees but the first week or so the RH was great until I started adding more cigars. I went from 100 to 300 and then the RH was...

    Wineador cc-300h humidity issue

The temps in there can be a constant....they are programmed where the User can adjust it from 62 - 66 degrees....it's the RH that can get squirrely for different reasons....too much stock inside...insertion of new product....fan runs too long....not enough of the right media.....too little...

    Wineador cc-300h humidity issue

Rupe nailed it....it's ALWAYS this issue with new owners of these things. I have 4 Whynters....they work so well but they aren't instant in what they do. The instructions say to season the trays....lightly....and you're suppose to let the DW do it's job...not in one day or even two....use some...

    Noob from Atlanta, GA

Welcome from Allatoona/Acworth.....just up the road from you. Yes, cigars are the ultimate relief from stress related living...cheaper than talking to some $200 an hour therapist who slaps their notebook shut after an hour and tells you....we're done today. NEVER had a cigar tell me to get the...

    Stay vigilant! Mold lurks

I live part time in San Diego and mold in cigars is not a normal deal....SD weather is about as perfect as it comes. The variance of temps to RH has validity but to drop it down to 59%....something else is not right as at that point you are losing essential oils....that's ungood because when...

Cigar Lounges on the Space Coast?

Lol....then we are cut from the same cloth.....I am frugal...not cheap. I like nice things and living nicely and enjoy nice things but I'm not going to throw money around or spend it like it's water. Wives and money can be a real challenge...my wife is a connoisseur of wine and cooking...she's...
