BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Pliny is, and perhaps always will be for me, the standard to which all other IPAs are judged (DIPA or otherwise). Compared to say a DFH 90, which is significant in the malt dept, that Zombie Dust was no where close to that. Malts weren't overdone and allowed the quality of the hop to come... -

Yeah....outside of the West Coast, where all my favorite IPAs are brewed (Cali specifically), this is the best in this category that i've had. Anxious to see where the Nugget Nectar falls in place...and that day will come eventually. -

FINALLY........I'm able to say +1 to this! THIS is an excellent beer. Gives Pliny a run for it's money....only a little bit smoother (as opposed to "crisp") on the finish due to the slight malty sweetness that gives it a nice balance. Hops are a bit stickier here as well, giving it a longer... -

While my sample size has been limited...i've had a couple Jolly Pumpkin offerings now, and this pretty much sums up my feelings as well. For their high pricepoint and what they were (just ok), I'm gonna pass I think when I come across their stuff in the future. -

This one is nothing if not unique. About the "booziest" beer I've ever had. At 18%, I guess that makes sense. Bells Hopslam being the most recent candidate for that title, but the 120 takes that designation outright. Lots of caramel, and sweetness w/ this one also...but I get more heat from... -

Left the taproom...went to El Gaucho Steakhouse.. Had a Vodka tonic.. Followed by a wicked shrimp appetizer, and a Chateaubriand Tenderloin served table side for the main course.. And keeping in theme w/ the beer, had a Hopworks Organic Pale w/ dinner.... Smoked a Por Larranaga Encantos post... -

Indeed! Followed that Jolly Pumpkin up with a sampler consisting of: Bear Republic Extra Deluxe Tripel Stillwater/Mikkeler Saison Laughing Dog Alpha Dog IPA Pyramid Helles Smokey Not a huge fan of any of em unfortunately, but ive got a damn nice buzz!! -

This has gotta easily be my best beer haul yet......and I didn't even have to leave my house! :hysterica A few of these bottles are from a trade w/ a great BOTL here....and the rest were purchased. -
