• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Recommendations on ISOM Tubos

Most age you'll likely find on a tubos is gonna be Mag 46. You can pretty readily find 08s. Don't overlook Monte Petit Edmundos though, and believe 08s are out there as well. Siglo IV and PSD4 are also good choices, but they'll be fresh, so I'd suggest the two prior 08s over them as a result.

    Posting while intoxicated!

Lol...hey, I'm a stickler for correct grammar and spelling... But that doesnt mean I don't miss that sweet Vanilla smell of freshly shaven poosay!!...lol. And I've had my fair share of high ABV beers. Fortunately there was some decent food mixed in along w/ an 07 Monte 2. Tonight was a good...

    Posting while intoxicated!

Hammered... Way too many beers, and sad the boobies are no longer in my face. Damn you strippers, and you're powers of persuasion.

single bottle limit on the KBS Angelo? I've yet to try that Saison from The Bruery, but have contemplated it now a few times. If I don't grab another bottle of the Rue next time around, that's the one i'm gonna go for.

    Beer O da day!

Lindemans Cuvee Rene Gueuze Very light, and crisp...w/ some mid-level tartness. 1st beer I've ever pop'd the cap only to then find a cork underneath. I'd buy this again, as it would be a great beer to start off a backyard bbq drink/smoke-a-thon with.

    Beer O da day!

This one gives last nights Supplication a run for it's money... Reminds me of the Lips of Faith La Folie....only more refined. Similar amount of tartness, as both are quite sour...but the Sang Royal is more drinkable, perhaps due to having a better finish. Won't have a problem finishing this...

    Beer O da day!

How are you likin' this one Dan? I've seen it plenty, but never purchased. I was worried it be too sweet for my liking...much like the Raison D'etre is for me.

A perfect example of why every palate is different.

I used to say the exact same thing... Cubans aren't for me...cause I don't have the patience to age them, and the freshies I'd gotten in trades/bombs etc weren't all that impressive. I wanted to smoke them NOW. Then I got a bigger humidor and that all went out the window. Aging boxes now is...

    SeaWorld San Diego

I went with what I thought was a very realistic goal...of finding a brew pub that had some Alpine Duet or Nelson on tap in San Diego. Had a list of all the places from the website they distribute to. I checked them all, by phone or their websites when we were there, and not one had either. I...

    Beer O da day!

My 1st from this years batch... Not sure if my palate is getting more used to this style, but this is less sour than I remember it being. Still plenty tart though, and definitely some white grape funk going on here. Cherry & oak definitely both present as well. This is one unique beer...and I...

Two words.. Tangerine Mojito. Sounds like the smokes won't suck either though...and hopefully for your sake, neither will the lady talent working today!

Will certainly let you know how it fairs when I burn one Matt. I've got a weekend in mind coming up to give one of these a go. Most the feedback I found prior to purchase did seem to be positive on these...which seems to hold true with what folks here think. Hopefully I'll feel the same when...

It's all about the glass Ryan, or so we've learned from my BIL who's a super camera/tech nerd. We've got a solid camera (Nikon D40), but an amazing lense (Nikon VR 18-200mm). And that was just one of the reasons for the ponchos...lol.

This is good to hear.... These will be my first experience with anything LGC. I'm not a long & skinny guy so have never pulled the trigger on any of the medaille d'or line....but seeing these available (and at a fair price no less) were just too damn hard to resist.

    SeaWorld San Diego

Just got back from vacay last weekend... We hit Legoland, the Zoo, and SeaWorld. My kid loved Legoland, but after having done Disneyland last Spring Break, Legoland was not a place we'd return. My son had a blast..but it's definitely catered to i'd say 4-10 year olds. My big ass barely fit on...

    Beer O da day!

The regular Dead Guy isn't ALL that interesting...just a good drinkable beer. I've actually never bit on the Double Dead Guy for that reason...and also due to the high tag that comes with it. The Double that I do like however, is the Double Arrogant Bastard from Stone. Much better, and at a...

    Challenges with our baby

So very sorry to hear this Chris....thoughts go out to you an your wife brother. Went through losing a baby at 14 weeks just this past year, so I know the pain and helplessness that you're feeling. Be strong for your wife as she'll need that more than anything right now. I hate that this type...
