• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

What cigars were Sly and Arnold smoking in the film The Expendables?

I can't, dprice... might be the firewall. (confirmed - photobucket is blocked here) I agree, that it could have been the RyJ, but my first thought was definitely Opus X, especially since both he and Arnold are cigar enthusiasts.

What cigars were Sly and Arnold smoking in the film The Expendables?

Can't see your second post, but the first looks like Mike's did their own thing there to sell another sampler. None of those sticks look like either of the two I saw in the film last night. We may never know!

What cigars were Sly and Arnold smoking in the film The Expendables?

I apologize if this post is in the wrong spot, but... I'd sure like to know. Near the beginning of the film, I thought it looked like an Opus X that Sly was smoking in the cockpit. Couldn't tell what Arnold was smoking, but he gave the same one to Sly. Thin white band reminded me of Illusione.

    Hygrometers and Calibrating

Any risk of doing damage to a digital hygrometer by doing this? Say, a Western Caliber III, for example?

    Need some help!

Glad you guys talked through this one, thanks. I decided to skip the case and instead I just ordered 3-65% tubes (medium sized). I'm going to start re-seasoning the humi tonight, and expect it will be nearly ready when the tubes arrive. I just sincerely hope that the mold between the humistat...

    Need some help!

If I'm using the spray bottle, do I need to remove the beads from the tubes, or can I spray the tubes with the beads inside? Assuming the tubes are mesh along the sides of the cylinders..

    Need some help!

I still might buy 3 medium tubes in case I need to expand to one of my back-up humidors. Using more than needed doesn't seem to be a problem, and I do often times open the box more than once per day. One question I've got is how to re-hydrate the tubes. Since they're not in a case or in a...

    Need some help!

That's right. I'm in between Chicago and Milwaukee. My basement seems to hold around 66-67 degrees F. Ambient RH is very low, and I do not currently have central humidification in the house.

    Need some help!

Thanks, Jason. One thing to note: the analog-style digital hygrometer is digital, not analog. It should be working, but is not. Hopefully the new one does. Here's a link so you know what I'm talking about...

    Need some help!

I've read the seasoning and calibration threads plenty of times. My seasoning method has been to not wipe down the Spanish cedar. What I have done in the past is to saturate a clean washcloth, ball it up, and settle it into a clean ashtray. I then allow the humidor to absorb the moisture for...

    Need some help!

Don't think I have a leak in the humidor. Been the same for three humidors in my basement where the ambient RH has been low in the winters. On the new humi, I did do the paper test and the light test (I know it has windows, but shut off the lights and looked all around the lid). As far as...

    Need some help!

Alright, so I'm considering 3 medium 65% tubes (way more than the minimum for a 450 cubic inch interior), with 2 on the bottom and 1 on the top tray rather than my initial thought of the single medium 65% case on the lid. Yeah, that sounds about right, and the price for the 3 tubes vs the 1...

    Need some help!

Assuming that if I go with tubes instead of the case, I'll need to use several of them. Do we know if they are more effective when they are kept together versus spread around the humidor? I don't know where pricing will end up (multiple tubes vs. one case), but I'd like to know which option...
