• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

No suggestions for you, but when I win the lottery, I'll be first in line to buy one from you!

    Graycliff Double Espresso

Is that true? I thought the double espresso and the edicion limitada were made in the Bahamas while the G2's, Turbos, 1666, etc. were the cheapies. Hmm...

    Bands (updated)

What do you do with your cigar bands? If you "Make something with 'em," what do you make? Show photos if you got 'em.

White fuzzies on one of my sticks?!?!?

Hey, how are those Big Butt cigars? I used to buy the Gorditas in the mid-90s before they were bought out by someone else. At the time, they were Nicaraguan. Did you try them before they changed hands, and if so, how do they compare?

Poll: Have you ever had a Beetle Problem?

Happened to me in 1998-1999 with a CC. The little critter tore up my stick, then died. I should dig up the photo I took of it. Ticked me off, but it didn't seem to ruin anything else. Looked like it just burrowed right from the center out. I read that if your temp/humi get up there, these...

    Montecristo Millenium (Vintage 2000)

Interesting that we found ourselves in nearly the same situation, both receiving for Xmas'99, and both splitting the remaining two with a friend. I, like you, had some issues over the years with the humidor. Here's what I did - 6 months before smoking these, I removed them from their glass...

    Montecristo Millenium (Vintage 2000)

Smoked the last one of these a few months ago, and I'm curious if anyone else has had them, heard of them, or can tell me anything about their value. I'd received a beautiful painted Montecristo box of 12 for Christmas '99. Each cigar came in a glass tubo with a handpainted "2000 Montecristo"...

    Greetings and Salutations from Illinois

Hello from another noob. Yes, the Habano Colorado is an HC-branded cigar by Xikar. I believe that all 3 are pretty good. I had some good notes on the Criollo. Rocky Patel Edge Lite is a great medium smoke (very consistent). If you'd like to try a really smooth full-bodied smoke, get the...

    The Cigar Lounge, Schaumburg, IL

I went earlier this month. The high ceilings take away from the potential warmth of the place, in my opinion. It seems they hire thin, young model types to work there, which is fine provided that they know about the selection. The girl I was talking to was certainly learning, which was...

Thanks for all the kind words. In case anyone is wondering, my avatar happens to be a Rocky Patel Edge Lite 60x6. No strings attached, I promise.

    Greetings from Midwest, USA

How does one go about making a new post in the B&M finder? While finding B&Ms is important, now that it is getting harder and harder to find a place to smoke, I'd like to see thread(s) dedicated to locating cigar lounges. I was hoping to add some to the B&M finder for both IL and WI, but I...

    Greetings from Midwest, USA

Hello from the Illinois/Wisconsin border! I've been enjoying cigars for about 17 years now. I like to try lots of different brands and vitolas, although I'm partial to most anything made by Oliva. I tend to go for medium to full-bodied smokes. Currently, I have 3 humidors at home (100, 75...

    Graycliff Double Espresso

First post is a negative one, unfortunately. Tried with great expectations, the Double Espresso this past weekend, and was quite unimpressed. Construction issues aplenty, and lack of flavor. My full (but short) review can be found on my cigar blog (which can be linked to from my profile...
