  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Butane source and non-torch lighter?

    I have had luck getting butane on cbad for dirt cheap. For a soft flame lighter my IM Corona Old Boy is the best lighter I have ever owned.

    These are indeed 'sublime'. Not sure they are worth the price, but, IMHO, a very good smoke right out of the box, I am going to try and hold back to 1 every 6 months to see how they progress, I expect great things.

    Never used a le viel, but I picked up a Hydra on cbad for about that, maybe a little less, I think $67. I remember they had a blue one that looks the same as a hydra, they go for around $60.

    I dropped by the shop last time I was in Dallas. I had heard the guy that runs the place was great, and that they had great cigars. The owner was not there, but the guy who was there was not too great, and I left unimpressed, perhaps thats why I am unimpressed wth the cigars also, unlike others...

    Yep, IMHO Opus and golf just dont mix. For me an Opus is 2 much for the course and you just cant enjoy it.

    I use a sm hydra in a 1500+ cabinet, along with about 1.5 lbs of beads and it works great, no problems. I would guess it will be just fine in a vinotemp with some beads.

    I re-read everything, it seems to me he is saying that they are taking the same cigar, same blend same wrapper, sorting by color, then putting some in a monte box and some in a cohiba box. So basically monte no 4 and cohiba sig II are the same exact cigar with a slightly different shade wrapper.
