• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Pliny the Younger

If Russian River saw the prices that DFH is asking for the 120 minute I'm sure they'd consider making more! As that's the reason, as I understand it...that they don't make more. It's just plain expensive to make. I do, however, admire...that amongst all the fanfare, and the praise for Pliny...

Show us your latest beverage purchase

Not a purchase, but a trade.... Haven't had the Imperial Stout yet, so anxious to try that one...and the Thirsty Dog Siberian Night was surprise. Taking a quick peek.....it might hold its own w/ these other two!

Beer drinkers: I've got a question for you

You and I have very similar taste and opinions on local beer Dude... I used to think Full Sail was pretty damn good. Now, however, when compared with some of the local Powerhouse breweries...and even the young up and comers....their stuff just can't hold a candle to em'. They pretty much all...

    Beer O da day!

This one was at a disadvantage, as it followed a bold, syrupy-thick beer in the Boogoop.... But it stood on it's own. The Rye is definitely present....and it has a dry finish to it like no other IPA i've encountered as a result. Not certain if I like it enough to buy more, and definitely...

    Beer O da day!

Drinks WAY more like a DIPA than it does a Barleywine...... But i'm not complaining whatsoever, this was a good surprise. Very, very good....particularly for the hop-lovers out there.

    Best Beer Retailers 2012

I don't know why....but I just now went to my locals website through this link (Belmont Station)... I've been there many times, but clicked on "kegs", just cause. Man, I really need to get a kegerator...there's some ridiculous beers on that list that I love (Racer 5, Firestone Union Jack...

    Humidity Beads Holder

I know I way over paid....but I just ordered some of the empty tubes from Heartfelt. I'm tired of using the white tie-string bag...and want some tubes to put in each individual drawer in my Vino etc. At least I didn't have to go anywhere though....so there's that.

    What to Buy

i'll 3rd the Upmann Sir Winstons.....great smoke, and perfect for what you're looking for. However, I'm fairly certain this is cigar that isn't produced regularly (i.e. not ever year, or even every month of every year that it is).....so that might force you to look elsewhere. Cohiba...

Had a sick day yesterday......and since i'm not good at laying around, I went and bought beer. Clearly things have gotten out of hand... This may be the closest I get to a Three Floyds offering...and even though it's a collaboration w/ Mikkeller, it can't be too shabby!

    Beer O da day!

It's nice. Not super hoppy, or anywhere close to it even. I'm reminded of my 1st experience with Bells Two-Hearted when drinking it. Was expecting the typical super pine/citrus, big & bold, and this is much more subtle. Has the pine, and a good amount of floral notes, but missing the citrus a...

6 Extreme Canned Beers You Should Know

Cost is not the issue or the reason these folks are using cans. Has more to do with light exposure, and risk of oxidation. At least thats what i've heard. There's definitely a science to it, and goes deeper than just numbers. Heard this before with lots of imported beers, as their exposure to...

6 Extreme Canned Beers You Should Know

Canned beer and camping go together like hand n'glove! I also enjoy the Calderas....but my most recent summer camping I took along some Anderson Valley Brewing Hop Ottin' 6'er (which they just started doing in cans not too long ago), and a few Fort George Vortex IPAs (was new to me, and also...
