• BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

    Sad day in my world

true heroism doesn't have to be showy: it is the conscious moral choice to put something that is right before personal needs or desires, up to personal safety and well being. you saw what needed doing, and are trying to make it happen as best as you may. stay up, man, we are still keeping you...

AF Between The Lines...Worth picking up??

honestly, i like them. i can pick up a few things from the interlaced wrappers, and the way the flavors play out. that said, there is obviously a hell of an up charge on these for presentation. should you try one? to me, yes! should it be a first pick over something else? even two...

what constitutes a lawn 'gar to you?

    Does size matter?

i get better burn with less attention smoking larger ring cigars. the tradoff for me is less depth of flavor. smaller rings, while being more particular in their burn, requiring better lighting and pacing, can pack bigger flavors, and more nuanced. but that's just me. o)

    Xikar Xi2 vs. Palio cutter

if you can do it right, a knife works. hell, even your teeth or nails! o) comes down to personally preference at the end. try to find one you can play with for a little, test drive as it were. (FWIW i'm in the palio camp)

what constitutes a lawn 'gar to you?

so, having just been called out for my choice of lawn 'gars, and having to clarify myself, i got to thinking: what exactly makes a "lawn 'gar"? this isn't a hard and definable characteristic, like "maduro", but rather something different from person to person. figured it would make a fun...
