If only it'd come up earlier in the year, instead of when the weather's growing cold, huh? xD

Can you smell what THE BOTL is cookiiinnn!!!

xD Sure thing, mate. 1 grated yellow onion, 350 ml ketchup, 75 ml molasses, 50 ml Worcestershire sauce, 75 ml apple cider vinegar, 30 ml English mustard (more if you want more spice), 4 tbsp of homemade rub. EDIT: the rub has loads of cayenne and ground chile de árbol, other than the usual...

To Tube ...... Or Not To tube........

Now, I'm merely hypothesising here, but considering even closed tubes allow humidity flow, yet obviously restrict it, wouldn't this fact allow for a much more stable maintenance of the cigar in question, where humidity spikes (due to opening the humidor and the humidity pack compensating is the...

The photo is rubbish, but the ribs came out great. Taste testing some BBQ sauce recipes; so far this is the best one. Baby back by Moro posted Nov 16, 2017 at 11:39 AM

    When do you smoke cigars?

Whenever I feel like it, but it tends to happen later in the day, when I want to sit down and relax. Smoking a cigar demands that I sit down and enjoy it in specific places in my house, so the unwinding comes hand in hand with it.

My dad picked these up in Mexico ....

I did. My point remains; people have had and will honestly have that question. "Regardless, always inform yourself before buying," was simply meant to be second-person plural.

My dad picked these up in Mexico ....

I know many have pointed out the most obvious one: glass top. But as shown in other comments, glass isn't the only tell-tale sign of counterfeiting, nor are bands and seals the only other ones (though it's also a good thing to check). There are enough to deserve, possibly, a guide... With images...

My dad picked these up in Mexico ....

Legit CCs here in Mexico go for about that price. Right now USD to MXN is 1:19 and you may buy a robusto for $500 MXN. Obviously that will vary with brands and vitolas, but it's a good base point.

I really hope no one will compare anyone's stogie with a NUB. And I insist; really liked the idea of the calculation.

I was, but then again I went away from the forums somewhere between 2009 and 2010. Tried to come back around for a while and well, it proved itself to be difficult with new schedules. Finished that, went into work at a large advertising agency in the strategic planning department, and...

    What are you reading

I'll highly suggest Mark Manson's "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck". Especially to younger people, but it's an evergreen idea about prioritising what and why things are worth giving a f*ck about, as well as when you should really reconsider those you once thought in that category. It isn't a...
